CHAPTER 2: BACKGROUND OF COMPANY

2.1 COMPANY BACKGROUND

Webstation Computer Centre was first started in 1999. With more than 19 years of
establishment, we have progressed well and today into one of latest IT systems integrator in
perak. Webstation Computer Centre offers many IT application solution. One of major
expertise is in corporate networking, cctv, application software. We offer a wide range of
computer systems, maintenance and support service to corporate organisations. Webstation
are the solution base company, we have professional consultant (hardware and software)
expertise welcome to listen to your requirement and provide the professional solution to your
company. Through the involvement and experience in this multi-user environment, The
company have planned, designed and implemented many business-oriented IT applications.

The company have over 19 years experience and are technically trained and certified on
licensed business software like sage ubs, autocount and others. Accounting solution
(Autocount Accounting, Sage Ubs, Million Accounting, emas and Auto power suite) as well
as customized software solutions. Webstation provide technical know-how by configuring
and commissioning small-scale and medium-scale local-area and wide-area network systems.
This exposure allows us to associate with many key products principals.

It has network solutions based on intel network solutions and other. The intel network
solutions enable us to obtain the latest know-how in networking solutions & technology. At
the same time, the clients could also be recognized and supported when they access any
service request call to these principles. Also not forgetting that the company have the right
technical personnel to provide the in-house support all the way through system discussion to
installation and implementation.

Webstation Computer Centre provides full networking solutions when undertakes

LAN/WAN project. We offer network file-server, print-server, computing, user workstation,
printer/scanner, fault-tolerance, antivirus, communication solutions and even network
cabling and network management. The company have very intensive market coverage in
networking projects. As to-date, webstation provides services to many companies,
corporations, government agencies, factories and manufacturing concern.

2.2 OWNERSHIP

Jonathan Loh was the founders of the Webstation Computer Centre in 1999.Webstation
Computer Centre is a family-owned company that serves small to midsize business company
by providing stable and secure technology solution in a proficient, courteous and
professional manner. The company started in 1999 with two staff selling, service, repair
computer hardware and networking solution to the small to midsize business company. In
2000 time came to move on with growing knowledge of the computer hardware additional
product add on accounting and inventory software emas accounting is the first software
selling. Thank you to the customer give a chance to selling to them. Following years keep on
implement more solution to customer to meet customer requirement - auto power suite, ubs
accounting, million accounting and autocount accounting. In 2015 company grew to a size of
10+ people due to the GST started computerised account system. In 2016 November founder
starting ecommerce journey selling computer product to top 1 marketplace lazada. At the
following month December 2016 store One Stop Solution award by lazada (lazada new seller
workshop - money machine award - top sales performance).In 2017 the company starting
selling whole ecommerce solution and provide consultation to customer. In 2018 the
company continues to grow and evolve with today is technologies.

2.3 SHAREHOLDERS

The main shareholder of Webstation Computer Center is the managing director Mr. Jonathan
Loh. As this is a private company and it is a firm held under private ownership. Another
reason why this company stay private is to maintain family ownership. As per my managing
director is plan staying private means a company does not have to answer to its public
shareholders and choose different members for the board of
directors

2.4 ADMINISTRATION SYSTEM

I. MANAGING DIRECTOR
Managing director is the one expected to ensure company policies and legal guidelines are
communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at
all times. He oversee the company financial performance, investments and other business
ventures. The goal is to ensure the company is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short-
term and long-term objectives and does not diverge from its strategic guidelines.

II. HUMAN RESOURCES

As Human Resources Coordinator you will work under the general guidance of the
Company HR Manager and be responsible for supporting the HR team on their day to day
operation. He/She executes the WEBSTATION COMPUTER CENTER’S strategy by being
responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing and placing workers. They may also
handle employee relations, payroll, benefits, and training. Human resources managers plan,
direct and coordinate the administrative functions of an organization. They oversee
specialists in their duties; consult with executives on strategic planning, and link a

company's management with its employees.

III. FINANCIAL MANAGER

Financial Managers act as client advocates and work with internal departments to ensure that
client needs are understood and satisfied. They may assist with making sales, handling client
complaints, collecting and analyzing data, and improving the overall customer experience.
They also keeping accurate records pertaining to inventory and account notes. Moreover ,
they also maintaining updated knowledge of company products and services.

IV. SUPERVISOR
The role is a complex one. Supervisor will not just be someone who supervises the work of
others. A supervisor is also responsible for coaching, resolving issues and serving as a link
between subordinates and upper management. Supervisor set goals for performance and
deadlines in our job that comply with company plans and vision and communicate them to
subordinates. Supervisor also organizes workflow and ensure that employees understand
their duties or delegated.

2.6 CUSTOMERS

Most customer are registered company that will constantly seek for Webstation Computer
Centre for service. If there are any problem on their computer, network or autocount
accounting software problem. There will be walk-in customer once in a while that will bring
their notebook or personal computer for repairing.

creating website for customer, update details in customer website, assembled computer,
notebook, security camera, accounting softwares (Autocount Accounting, UBS, Million
Accounting, EMAS and Auto Power Suite) and setup network Service.
