Summary

The main objective of the thesis is to provide quality medical care to the patients
by bringing all medical practitioners of the city to a single platform so that
everybody can easily access them and make appointments. The second objective is
to replace the current manual file keeping system with an online medical patient
database system.

The aim of this project is to create a platform where patients and doctors can
access / interact efficiently with each other and provide ease other and provide ease
and comfort to the patients . It also aims to resolve the problems that patients have
to face while taking appointments and keeping medical practitioner based on their
professional profile and other patients reviews. While doctors can access and
update a patients medical record after every checkup.

Following features will be added in the furture:

Online follow up with doctors (specially for distant patients)

Linking laboratory and pharmacy so that medical store adminstrator and laboratory
can view clinical tests recommended by the doctor. This features aims to eliminate
paper- based prescriptions.

This project aims to introduce a patient scheduling online service for health care
institutions that would service ease off the appointment-scheduling journey for
users and the path of better doctor-patient expense. This system offer online
appointment to view doctor list, to cancel or update appointment with an
administrative portal to manage all the sections. It provide advanced functionality
to streamline the process thus easy access to personal hospital services that help
organization to connected with , Client’s and patients and can result in significant
time and monetary savings is required to interact with system database,
scheduling module and the administrative module. This system also give the clinic
ability to track patients on a small scale. It's also mange schedules and to allow
quick access to patient, employee or referring doctor information.

The aim of this project is to create an online doctor appointment system.


Customers can be able to book doctor’s appointment anywhere in the world,
this can be done via web browser. Doctors can also register to this system, view
appointments and set available time for appointment thereby making it more
convenient for them. Administrator also have access to the website and able to
change information of the website and have access to database. Payment is
made after appointment.

The purpose of this document is to describe the requirements for the Online
Doctor

Doctor

The doctor page displays the all the doctors available in the database, the
doctor’s information are displayed, also there is a book appointment button on
each doctor row, when the button is clicked on the user is directed to another
page where the patient can book that particular doctor appointments can only be
booked if the user is logged in else the user is directed to the log in page after
which the user is redirected back to the destined/original page.

In this interface the following functionalities are implemented for the


administrator:

• View doctor: A list of all the doctors in the database is displayed and
when a doctor item on the list is clicked, the doctor details is displayed in
a form
• Add doctor: the administrator can add doctors to the database, a form
is provided and the doctor’s details are entered, when the form is
submitted the new doctor is created and inserted into the database.
• Edit doctor information: The administrator can also edit doctor
information, whatever information entered is saved and updated in the
database.
• Delete doctor: A delete option is placed beside each doctor in the list of
doctors and when it is clicked that particular doctor is deleted.
Timeslot Module:
Medical module performs the below operations:

● Add Timeslot:

Add new records for the timeslot

● Edit Timeslot

Edit any of the exiting records of timeslot

● Delete Timeslot

Delete the exiting records of timeslot

● Detail view of Timeslot:

It displays the detail view of timeslot

● Listing Timeslot:

Generates the lists of all of the exiting timeslot

Timeslot Module
The main purpose for developing this module is to manage the doctor timeslot. So all timeslot
will be managed by admin and patient and doctor will be able to see the timeslot report. Here
students can search

Calander Module: Calander module performs the blow operations:


● Add Calander:

Add new records for the calander

● Edit Calander

Edit any of the exiting records of calander

● Delete Calander:

Delete the the exiting records of calander

calander will be managed by patient and doctor will be able to see the calander report.
