TBEA INVERTER COMISSIONING CHECK LIST

1. Check inverter installation , instructions according to user manual ( OK\NO ).

2. Check the inverter base mounting should firmly attached ( OK\NO ).
3. Record the inverter serial number located in label of all inverters ( OK\NO ).
4. Record the total power of PV modules of all inverters ( OK\NO ).
5. Check all inverter doors, protection sheets properly fixing ( OK\NO )
6. Check AC,DC incoming cables connected to inverter with color coding and size of cables
should be minimum 240mm-sq ( OK\NO ).
7. Check inverter grounding must be proper and grounded should be with minimum 95
mm-sq copper cable ( OK\NO ).
8. Check AC,DC cables tightening in inverter with torque-wrench equipment ( OK\NO ).
BOLT SIZE TORQUE VALUE
M6 6
M8 14
M10 30
M16 120
5/16-18UNC 20
9. Check all cable entry holes must be closed after termination ( OK\NO ).
10. Check AC Breaker physical condition, and contact between phase to phase bus-bars
once turn ON-OFF breaker ( OK\NO ).
11. Check all DC Breakers physical condition, conform no-contact between breaker to
breaker, once turn ON-OFF all breakers ( OK\NO ).
12. Check all DC positive fuses are properly connected with fuse holder and healthy
( OK\NO ).
13. Check DC capacitor bank bolts tightening with torque-wrench equipment ( OK\NO ).
14. Check any equipment physical damaged ( OK\NO ).
15. Check all PCB’S TRANSFER CORD, CONTROLLING CARD, SAMPLIND CORD, INSULATION
TESTING CORD, MFC CORD, DCS CORD.
16. Check all controlling PCB equipments available and proper connected in inverter
( OK\NO ).
17. While removing any PCB port, should hold only connector not the cables.
18. Check controlling wiring and control supply (DC 24V, single phase, three phase) X-series
connectors any loose contact or damaged ( OK\NO ).
19. Check if any foreign objectes (Ex: RATS, LIZARDS ) in inverter or any equipment damaged
by it ( OK\NO ).
20. Check any foreign objects (Ex: ARMOADS , TOOLS) present inside inverter ( OK\NO ).
21. Check controlling fuses 6A,25A,3A continuity ( OK\NO ).
22. Conform all equipments are looking healthy in inverter ( OK\NO ).
23. Contact with site staff about good condition and clearance of inverter ( OK\NO ).
24. Conform all DC,AC breakers should off-condition while inverter-transformer charging
( OK\NO ).
25. After trafo charge Check AC voltages phase-phase & phase-ground and note down all
values ( OK\NO ).
Phase – phase = 630V
Phase – Ground = 400V
26. Keep transformer 30 minute in ideal condition ( OK\NO ).
27. Turn on AC BREAKER and control 4-pole MCB
28. Check all electronic equipments getting control supply.
29. Set time & date as required.
30. Check software verson & HMI verson ( OK\NO ). .
31. Check all settings in HMI.
32. All DC breakers must be in off condition. After getting DC input check floating and
polarity of each input.
Floating should be reduced from half of system voltage for each positive and negative
inputs and must check polarity of all DC inputs.
Positive to Negative =Above 1200V
Positive to Ground = Must be gradually reduced from 700V
Negative to Ground = Must be gradually reduced from 700V
If any DC cable voltage getting more than 800V with ground, then consider as earth
fault.
33. After conforming AC,DC inputs are satisfied then keep inverter in “INDEPENDENT
MODE” then turn on only one DC breaker.
remove emergency button and turn-on synchronization switch. Check phase currents in
check-self mode, and “ INNER EVENTS” , then conform all are ok.
34. Turn-off inverter and keep in MPPT mode, then turn-on synchronization switch.
35. Check HMI while inverter is going to checkself mode.
36. After synchronization check all paramaters in HMI.
37. Check AC Voltages, AC Currents, DC Voltages, DC Currents, Active power, module
temperatures etc….
38. Check any abnormal sounds coming from inside inverter ( Ex: Hissing noise )
39. Check IGBT Cooling fan, Exhaust fan both are running with proper ventilation.
40. Observe inverter atleast for 30 minutes with low power..
41. If everything is ok, then turn off inverter. Increase DC breakers and observe inverter
atleast for one day.
42. Check inverter all paramaters communicating with SCADA system…
