TARLAC STATE UNIVERSITY - COLLEGE OF LAW

CONSTITUTIONAL LAW I
First Semester, AY 2020-2021
Atty. Gregory A. Nuega, LLM

“Experience should teach us to be most on our guard when the Government’s

purposes are beneficent. Men born to freedom are naturally alert to repel
invasion of their liberty by evil-minded rulers. The greatest danger to liberty lurk
in the insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well-meaning, but without
understanding.”

-Brandeis, J., Dissenting, Olmstead vs. United States, 277 US 433 (1927)

COURSE OVERVIEW AND CLASS RULES:

A.) Course Requirements:

1.) Class attendance is mandatory, and punctuality is a must.

2.) A student who fails to come to class will automatically get a

grade of 60 if he is called for recitation during that session.

3.) As there is no major textbook that has been updated, relying

solely on textbooks and other secondary materials will most
probably result in a failing grade.

4.) No special examination will be allowed for whatever reason. A

student who misses either the Midterm or Final Examination will
automatically get the grade of FAIL in the examination he/she was
unable to take.

5.) You are required to turn on your camera during the entire
duration of the class except on breaks.

B.) Grading System:

1.) 40% Recitation, Quizzes, and Class Activities.

2.) 30% Midterm Examination.
3.) 30% Final Examination.
