1. Microsoft’s Vision Statement


To help people and businesses throughout the world realize their full
potential”

Comments:
Microsoft’s Vision lacks details to effectively guide the organization’s development .The
company need to revise its vision statement to include information about where the business is
heading.

2. Starbucks Coffee’s Corporate Vision Statement:


Starbucks Coffee’s corporate vision is “to establish Starbucks as the premier
purveyor of the finest coffee in the world while maintaining our uncompromising
principles while we grow.

Comments:

Starbucks coffee’s vision statement is concise, clear and inspiring


especially in terms of achieving and maintaining the premier status in the coffeehouse
and coffee industry. The company fails to include new business operations and
products in the vision statement.

3. Dell’s VISION STATEMENT


Dell’s vision statement is “It’s the way we do business. It’s the way we interact with the
community. It’s the way we interpret the world around us– our customers’ needs, the
future of technology, and the global business climate. Whatever changes the future may
bring our vision — Dell Vision — will be our guiding force. So Dell needs full customer
satisfaction. In order to become the most successful computer company, they need the
newest technology and loyal customers.

Comments:
The vision statement of dells is a good statement but it’s too long. The vision statement
includes customer’s needs, customer’s satisfaction and future technology.

4. Nike Vision Statement


Nike Inc.’s corporate vision is “to remain the most authentic, connected, and
distinctive brand.

Comments:
The company considers its brand as one of the major strengths of the business. The
vision statement is satisfactory in terms of having the characteristics of the ideal vision
statement.

5. Amazon.com’s Corporate Vision Statement


Amazon’s corporate vision is “to be Earth’s most customer-centric company,
where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online

Comments:
The vision statement of Amazon is concise, clear and abstract enough to ensure
suitability in various areas of the business. But this vision is not stable enough to ensure its
suitability in the future of the business.

6. Google’s Corporate Vision Statement


Google’s corporate vision is “to provide access to the world’s information in one
click.

Comments:
It is recommended that Google modify its vision statement to reflect the vide variety of
products that company currently offers, considering new and planned future products.

7. McDonald’s Corporate Vision Statement


McDonald’s corporate vision is “to move with velocity to drive profitable growth and
become an even better McDonald’s serving more customers delicious food each
day around the world.

Comments:
McDonald’s vision statement is strong in satisfying the criteria for developing ideal
vision statement. The vision is clear and concise. It is also focused on the future.

8. Unilever’s Vision Statement


Unilever’s corporate vision is “to make sustainable living commonplace. We
believe this is the best long-term way for our business to grow.

Comments:
The vision statement of Unilever does not specify the desired condition of the company
as a business organization. Thus, a recommendation for Unilever vision statement is to improve
it by including additional information about market position.

9. Toyota’s Vision Statement


Toyota will lead the future mobility society, enriching lives around the
world with the safest and most responsible ways of moving people. Through our
commitment to quality, ceaseless innovation, and respect for the planet, we strive to
exceed expectations and be rewarded with a smile. We will meet challenging goals by
engaging the talent and passion of people who believe there is always a better way.
Comments:
Toyota’s vision statement is detailed in describing what the business
organization wants to become in the long terms. This vision statement is future
oriented, clear and challenging for the automotive company’s workers and business
partners.

1O. Samsung’s Vision Statement


Samsung’s corporate vision is to “Inspire the world with our innovative
technologies, products and design that enrich people’s lives and contribute to
social prosperity by creating a new future.

Comments:

The vision statement of Samsung is good. But the vision statement requires
satisfying customer’s needs and expectations.

1. Microsoft’s Mission Statement


Microsoft’s corporate mission is “to empower every person and every
organization on the planet to achieve more

Comments:
The Microsoft’s mission statement does not clearly define the business in terms of its
nature or what it does. The mission statement lacks of following components technology, self-
concept, and philosophy.

2. Starbucks Coffee’s Corporate Mission Statement


Starbucks Coffee’s corporate mission is “to inspire and nurture the human spirit
– one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time.”

Comments:
The mission statement does not satisfy many of the conventional characteristics of ideal
mission statement. The mission statement does not inform about target customer and target
market. The mission statement lacks of following components technology, market and concern
for public image.

3. Dell’s mission statement


“To be the most successful computer company in the world at delivering the best
customer experience in markets we serve. In doing so, Dell will meet customer
expectations of the Highest quality.

Comments:
The mission statement of dell is good and clear but lakes of one components concern for
employees.

4. Nike’s Corporate Mission Statement


Nike Inc.’s corporate mission is “to bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete
in the world.

Comments:
The mission statement of Nike is philosophical and does not include specifics about the
kind of products offered to consumer and the nature and business process. The mission
statement lacks of following components technology, philosophy, product and self-concept.

5. Amazon.com’s Corporate Mission Statement


Amazon’s mission statement is “We strive to offer our customers the lowest
possible prices, the best available selection, and the utmost convenience.

Comments:
The mission statement of Amazon is good and concise but lakes of following components
self-concept, concern for survival market and products or services.

6. Google’s Corporate Mission Statement


Google’s corporate mission is “to organize the world’s information and make it
universally accessible and useful.

Comments:
The Google needs to modify the mission statement to reflect to wide verity of products
that the company currently offers. The mission statement lacks of following components
technology, markets and concern for public image.

7. McDonald’s Corporate Mission Statement


McDonald’s corporate mission is “to be our customers’ favorite place and way to eat
and drink.

Comments:
McDonald’s mission statement satisfies many but not all of the criteria for developing
ideal mission statement. McDonald’s does not include information about its target consumers
and target market. The mission statement lacks of following components technology and
concern for survival.

8. Unilever’s Mission Statement


Unilever’s corporate mission is “to add vitality to life. We meet every day needs for
nutrition, hygiene and personal care with brands that help people feel good, look
good and get more out of life.

Comments:
Unilever’s mission statement includes detailed information of what the business
does and must do. The mission statement must be enhancing by adding more information on
how the company strategically achieves its aims in adding vitality to consumer’s lives.

9. Toyota’s Mission Statement


Toyota’s corporate mission is “to make ever-better cars, to build a future where
everyone has the freedom to move

Comments:
The Toyota’s mission statement is concise and clear. In mission statement, Toyota
focuses on automotive products and customers. The mission statement should also include
information about Toyota’s self-concept, markets and technology.

10. Samsung’s Mission Statement


Samsung’s mission statement is “We will devote our human resources and
technology to create superior products and services, thereby contributing to a
better global society.

Comments:
The Samsung’s mission statement is concise and clear. The mission statement lacks of
following components concern for survival and customers.
