I.Objectives
After giving several activities, the pupils should be able to do the following with 85%
mastery:
a. identify slow and fast tempo through movements and song;
b. recognize and imitate slow and fast tempo through movements and song;
c. perform slow and fast tempo through body movements.
II. Subject Matter
A. Topic: Tempo
Sub-topic: 1. Speed of sound in Music
1.1 slow
1.2 fast
References : k to 12 Curriculum Guide in Music ( Grade 1 to 10)
B. Materials: Pictures, flashcards, laptop ,speaker
C. Values Integration: Cooperation
III. Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities
a. Prayer
b. Attendance
c. Checking of the assignment
d. Review of the past lesson
B. Motivation
Before proceeding to a new lesson, prepared an activity called “ Dance in the
Music. The students will dance along with the rhythm of the song and let the
students describe what movements are they created.

C. Presentation
Show a picture of a turtle and a rabbit on the racing starting line and ask students
who will win in the race. Connect the relation of the picture in music.
Group activity, group the class into four and each group will given a puzzle of
animals to assemble and let them imitate the movements with a appropriate
tempo.
Ask students if anyone know what is “Tempo”.
Tempo is the speed of the song it can be slow or fast. For better understanding
about “Tempo” let students listen to different songs with different tempo.

D. Generalization
Tempo is a speed of a movement whether it is slow or fast it can be in a songs,
dance or in our everyday life experience.
Tempo can compared to life. You move fast when you need to finish a tasks in a
short period of time and slow when you need to be careful of what you are doing
or handling.

E. Application
Present a pictures of different animals that show different tempo.
Write S for slow and F for fast tempo.
IV. Evaluation
Listen well to the different songs then identify the following as slow or fast tempo.
1. Sa Ugoy Ng Duyan
2. Beep Beep Beep Ang Sabi Ng Jeep by Willie Revillame
3. How You Like That by Blankpink
4. Incy Wincy Spider
5. Old McDonald
V. Assignment
Cut out pictures that shows slow and fast tempo. Paste it in a clean short bond paper .
