 Install NI LabVIEW Student Edition


1> Download LabVIEW software from National Instrument’s website
http://www.ni.com, you need to create an account to download the
software.
2> Now from your folder location double click setup.exe. Allow installer to
initialize and then select Next.

3> Select I Only want to evaluate the products. And then click Next.
4> Select the product you would like to install, just click left button of mouse
and select install. Select Next after selecting desired software.
5> Now, to search for any updates select the checkbox otherwise deselect the
checkbox. Select Next.

6> Now select the path where you want to install the software and select
Next.
7> Read and agree the software license. Two windows contains license
agreements for each select I accept and then click Next to proceed.
8> Ensure all the products to be installed. Select Next.

9> The installation will now begin. It may take some times to install your
software.
10> After installation the summary will be displayed. Select Next.

11> Now run you Software for 7 days. Select Launch LabVIEW.
 Install NI VISA
1> Download NI VISA from http://www.ni.com/download/ni-visa-
5.0.3/2251/en/ as a free download. Double click on the file
and then click Unzip.
2> Launch the NI VISA installer and click Next.

3> Select the location of the directory. Click Next.


4> Review the features to be installed. Click Next.

5> Check for the updates. Click Next.


6> Review the license agreement and click I accept. Click Next.

7> Review the list. Click Next.


8> NI VISA will begin installing. It may take some times depending upon the
configuration of your computer.

9> The NI VISA installation is Complete. Click Next.


10> Now your computer will ask for reboot.
 Install JKI VI Package Manager
1> Download JK VI Package Manager from jki.net/vipm/download as free
download.
2> Launch the VIPM installer. Click Next.

3> Review the license agreement. Click I have read. Click Next.
4> Select the path of the directory and Click Next.

5> VIPM will begin installing. And it may take some time to install.
6> The VIPM installation is complete. Click Finish.
 LabVIEW Interface for Arduino (LIFA)
1> Launch VIPM

2> Now find LabVIEW interface for arduino or you can enter Arduino in
search box in the upper right corner.
3> Click LabVIEW interface for arduino to select it and then click install
package button.

4> Review the package to be installed. Click Continue.


5> Review the Download Acknowledgement. Click I agree(Don’t Prompt
me again).

6> Review the license and click I accept.


7> Now VIPM will launch LabVIEW in the background. VIPM will begin
downloading the package from the labview tools network.

8> The labview interface for arduino is now installed. Click Finish.
9> Click on the File. Click New VI.

10> Now you will get two windows on screen. Block Diagram and Front
Panel. Now Right click anywhere on any window. You’ll get your
Arduino library.
