DC9 NORMAL CHECKLIST, EXPANDED.

OBS ----- ONLY FOR FLIGHTSIM -----OBS

Expanded check list intended to be used with the DC-41 panel v.4.
This checklist is a copy of the one found in SAS DC9 AOM from May 2001.
Some items are slightly modified and/or not applicable to FS9.

Stellan Hilmerby.

OBS ----- ONLY FOR FLIGHTSIM -----OBS

1. GENERAL

The main purpose of the Expanded Check List is to establish and explain the action or actions
to be taken in connection with each item on the Normal Check List. Furthermore, the
Expanded Check List includes standard procedures for engine starting and serves as a
reference list to pertinent information included elsewhere in the AOM.

The following procedures for check list reading/system testing shall be applied:

- The complete Prestart Check List including tests shall be performed before the
first flight of the day, or when the Commander deems it necessary.

- After crew change following the first flight of the day or at intermediate stops
when both pilots leave the aircraft, the complete Prestart Check List shall be
read but no system tests need to be performed, only switch positions checked/set
unless Expanded Check List requires system testing.

“P” after an item indicates that the item contains actions for both pilots as specified in this
document. The item shall be answered by both L/P and R/P before the next item is called out.

- AFTER START Check list is divided into two parts. Either AFTER START,
NORMAL or AFTER START, DE-ICING AWAY FROM GATE. Check list
shall be ordered, dependent on de-icing situation. AFTER START, DE-ICING
AWAY FROM GATE check List has two variants, De-icing with engines
running or De-icing with engines stopped.
