Violence against women (VAW) refers to any act of gender-based violence that results in physical, sexual, or psychological harm to women. VAW in communities often takes the form of physical violence, sexual violence, and psychological violence through intimidation and isolation based on gender discrimination. To address VAW, awareness campaigns in schools can help spread the message that VAW is an important issue to discuss, and individuals must gain respect, equality, and responsibility for one another to build a peaceful community with love for all.
