1.0 Purpose/Scope
These instructions are to be used to update the readout sequence of a Selenia Image Receptor.
They can be used with both the fastcom and flash array versions of the Floader software with the
Image Receptor.
4.0 Safety
Observe all electrical, mechanical, and radiation safety standards.
Caution: Always observe Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions when working with
electronics and electronic components.
Note… It is recommended that you read through this document completely before
starting to work.

5.0 Procedure
5.1 Installing the Flash Array Windows Program
1. Insert CD into field service notebook computer.
2. Run setup.exe.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions.
4. Reboot the computer if prompted to do so. This prompt will occur depending on the
OS and level of Microsoft patches on the machine.
5. If during the install process, you are prompted to replace any dll's that are newer, do
not do so!
6. If during the install you receive an error message that msvcrt.dll is in use, simply
ignore the error and continue the install. You will need to confirm this twice.
7. When the install is completed, the program should be under Start > Programs >
Windows Flash Array.

Caution: Field upgrades should NOT use the manufacturing subsection of the program.
Incorrect usage here may make the Array non-bootable. You CANNOT
reprogram Floader using Windows Flash Array PC software. Attempting to do
so may make the Array non-bootable. The advanced menu is not for field
upgrades! Incorrect usage here may make the Array non-bootable.
1. IMMEDATELY DISCONNECT THE HYPERTERMINAL SESSION WHILE TRYING NOT
TO TYPE IN THE TERMINAL by selecting Call > Disconnect from the HyperTerminal
menu.
2. Start the Flash Array Windows program from Start > Program > Windows Flash Array.
3. Press the Connect button.
4. Select the comm port that the Array is connected to (should be the same as the
hyperterminal was). Press OK to connect.
5. Verify communications by selecting the Read EL Info Button. If a "Query Retrieve
Failed!" error occurs, disconnect the Flash Array Program, reboot the Array, and retry
this process again. If you receive the message "EL Sensor is [Not] Present", then
communications is up between the Floader and Flash Array programs.
6. Select the Program Sequence button. Click OK on dialog box.
7. Select the Array readout sequence (xxxx.SEQ) file from the file dialog box.
8. Confirm your selection. Wait until it is completed. YOU MUST NOT INTERRUPT THE
REPROGRAMMING PROCESS!!!! IF YOU MAKE A MISTAKE, WAIT UNTIL THE
ARRAY HAS COMPLETED THE REPROGRAMMING CYCLE FIRST!
9. Click OK on dialog box.
10. When you are finished, close or disconnect the Flash Array program.
