Kiln Inlet Analyzer.: Calibration
Kiln Inlet Analyzer.: Calibration
Calibration.
There are two types of calibration in analyzer named as SPAM calibration and ZERO Calibration .
Total cal.: OFF SO2 With AUTOCAL: NO Span 1 : 386 mg/m3 Span 2 : 1920 mg/m3
Total cal.: In the first line of this dialog, you can select either a total or single calibration.ON means that
one range is calibrated and that this calibration is used for the other ranges (total calibration). OFF means
that each range is calibrated separately (single calibration, e.g. with different calibration gases). With
AUTOCAL: You can define here whether you wish to carry out an AUTOCAL prior to the calibration
procedure (YES or NO). An AUTOCAL is not necessary here if it has already been carried out shortly
before the calibration procedure, e.g. a calibration procedure has taken place directly previously. Span1,
Span2: Here you can enter the set points for the individual measuring ranges (these are the
concentrations of the components in the respective calibration gas). They should be set to a value which
is between 70 and 100 % of the full-scale value. If Total cal.: ON has been selected, the analyzer
automatically uses the set point of range 2 for range 1. With Total cal.: OFF any input is possible
between the start-of-scale and full-scale values of the respective range.
Calibration: Calibrate IR Channels: Start with Range MR ½ The analyzer interrupts the current
measurement if you call one of these two dialogs. If the parameter With AUTOCAL was set to OFF, the
analyzer expects an immediate flow of calibration gas; if the value set to ON, an AUTOCAL is carried out
prior to the flow of gas. The values of the set point and actual-value calibrations are displayed in the first
two lines. If the analyzer recognizes a flow of calibration gas, the display changes as shown. If the
measured value in the second line remains constant for more than approx. 10 s or does not change
significantly, press the ENTER key. The analyzer then compares the setpoint and actual value
(measured value) of the calibration. If the deviation between the values is within the tolerance, the
adjacent message is output. (o.k.)
2. See the Direction of flug that has to be in span gas inlet Direction. 3. Now Press ENTER Button on
ULTRAMAT 23 4. Press and go to the calibration by pressing enter. 5. Enter level password “111 “or “222
“and press enter. 6. Now press calibration – IR channel. 7. Now presses start Cal MR1+2 M1. 8. See
Reading % of Span Gas. And it should be 1.69% after the reading is stable press entering. 9. Press
escape “ ESC “ and come to main screen see the valve of CO = 1.69% 10. Span calibration is over.
ZERO CALIBRATION:- 1. Connect N2 Cylinder to analyzer inlet . 2. See the Direction of flug that has to
be in span gas inlet Direction. 3. Now Press ENTER Button on ULTRAMAT 23. 4. Press and go to the
calibration by pressing enter. 5. Enter level password “111 “or “222 “and press enter. 6. Now press
calibration – O2 – Sensor 7. Select start O2 –ZERO Cal. 8. After reading is stable press Enter Button and
see the valve of O2 is 0.00 %. 9. ZERO calibration is done. . OR - Calibration: Calibrate O2 Sensor: O2
Zero Cal. In this dialog you can recalibrate the zero point of the O 2 sensor using nitrogen. Connect a
flow of nitrogen and commence the calibration using ENTER.
When you call the calibration function, the current oxygen value is displayed in the second line. If this
does not deviate by more than 1 % from the set value, it is used as the new zero (this is not the case in
the example display, see third line). If the value is greater than 1 %, a fixed standard value is used
instead.
Notice Please note that the exchange of gas takes place very slowly with low oxygen concentrations.
Purge for 30 min, and then use the current value.
