YEAR 8 MATHEMATICS EXTENSION/HONOURS

2021 COURSE OUTLINE

THIS OUTLINE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE!!!

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Extension Pathway is designed for students who are capable of working a year in advance of their year level. This pathway covers
content from the Year 8 and Year 9 curriculum. Parts of the Year 8 curriculum was covered in the Year 7 Accelerated Pathway and therefore
not covered in this course outline.
Students will be assessed on the Year 8 and Year 9 curriculum covered in this course, however the Mathematics grade allocated at the
end of each semester will be a reflection of their progress in relation to the WA Curriculum for Year 8 , irrespective of undertaking the
Extension Pathway.
