The structure of the countries retail management has an enormous influence on economy and
marketing activities of the firm. It is the most attractive and active sector after information
technology. With introduction of liberalization, privatization and globalization. The traditional
foods and grocery segment has seen the emergence of supermarkets, departmental stores,
convenience stores, etc. Modern retail models are utilizing IT and communication tool to
maintain its operation.

I would like to retail these products because today people are getting in to a new lifestyle. And
the people are really specific about their dressing style for each event. The society is also become
a reason for the people and most of the people where really aware about the brands also.
LOCATION

I like to start the shop in Trivandrum. Trivandrum is the capital of the Indian state of Kerala and


the headquarters of the Thiruvananthapuram District. It is located on the west coast of India near
the extreme south of the mainland. Referred to by Mahatma Gandhi as the "Evergreen city of
India" the city is characterized by its undulating terrain of low coastal hills and busy commercial
alleys. With almost 745,000 inhabitants per the 2001 census, it is the largest and most populous
city in Kerala; the wider urban agglomeration has a population of more than one million. Apart
from being the IT hub of the state with over 80% of the state's software
exports, Thiruvananthapuram ranks first in the number of international tourists in Kerala also.

As it is the capital city of Kerala the people are going for their luxurious lifestyle. And as the part
of their luxurious lifestyle they will go for the branded items. And they will choose different
dressing style according to their needs and occasions. And I strongly believe that people will go
for these luxury items.
