Introduction

Personal effectiveness allows individuals to analyze the challenges in order to convert it into
strength and it also helps individuals to rectify their weakness and allows them to make
strategies in order to overcome challenges that can hamper the character or productivity of an
individual. On the other hand, personal effectiveness also helps individuals to enhance their
skills and talents in order to execute something productive and creative. With the help of
personal effectiveness, many individuals can understand their potential by focusing on the
different resources and time required to enhance the personality of the individual and provide
productive work to the organization (Jha, 2018). On the other hand, personal effectiveness
allows individuals to acknowledge their potential and strengths, which is required to focus on
the target and to meet the goals made by them. However, this assessment is related to the
personal effects associated with the case study of Sundar Pichai, who is the CEO of Google,
and he has won this position through his ambition, generous personality and loyalty. This
assessment is divided into different sections in order to analyze the personal effectiveness of
Sundar Pichai and the strategies he has implemented in order to analyze the potential and

assessment, a reflective report has been provided in order to provide the objectives and

Sundar Pichai is the CEO of Google's world's largest search engine and has won this position
through his ambition, generous personality and loyalty. Skills are a very valuable asset for
achieving the mentioned targets and for achieving a great future. Leadership skills are the

most important skill for Sundar Pichai (Hartung and Cadaret 2017). Via this leadership
ability, he was willing, through various ways of acting, to handle diverse circumstances. As a
leader, he was able to set good goals, inspire, track the outcomes and prove to be a good
coach and excellent mentor. The willingness to interact with different persons from different
communities and traditions as they believe in diversity in the workplace is another valuable
trait he has applied differently. He has retained his role as a world leader by this leadership
capacity.

Positive skills-

One of Sundar Pichai's most valuable expertise was his serious preparation and organization
that allows more time management. By using time management and project management
techniques properly, he has reached this position. He understands the concept of prioritizing
and is particularly insightful, and the capacity to prioritize is really useful in achieving the
objectives. Sundar Pichai also has the capacity to prepare efficiently and use the capital
effectively to accomplish the objectives (Bogenschneider and Heilmeier 2016). He is
confident enough to reverse the sudden problems of some kind. All this led to a good
international leadership for Sundar Pichai.

The ability to handle situations better makes a person better at personal production.
Successful experience has a significant influence on industry management and everything.
Sundar Pichai is known as a global leader, and his expertise in management has helped him
achieve high job efficiency. The workers are satisfied; the staff are strongly motivated under
his leadership skills. Sundar Pichai's leadership qualities have helped to advance executives
and others in their professions as well as to establish a successful link with others (Mirbabaie
et al., 2019).In this willingness to lead, he won a lot of money and also helped others raise
money, and received much admiration from people and colleagues. It is very important to
establish a good self-perception for personal productivity, according to Mr Sundar Pichai.
Strong self-perception leads to an approach to work and to life.

Moreover, Sundar Pichai had inhaled various good skills in making himself capable of
handling the situations. He had adopted various understanding skills which made it possible
for gaining a better understanding of the problems that are faced by the staff and employees
of Google. It can be said that he knew how to listen carefully to the various problems of the
employees and technicians so that it can be easily resolved by the company. He used to
address all the modern technological software that is being attached to the Google so that it

features that are to install in the Google (Voronina et al., 2018). On the other, positive skills
of properly handling the unwanted situation or event in the organization is considered as one
of the biggest signs of a good leader. Thus, it is necessary for any leader to have the quality
of taking bigger responsibility for generating huge profits in the business. Thus, it can be said
that Sundar Pichai had that quality which helped him in becoming a global leader. Moreover,
it can be said that he had the necessary intellectual power to execute the board meetings with
correct manner and confidence so as to enable the members of the board and higher manager
to know about the latest updating about the adoption of new features and technology (Misra
and Srivastava, 2018). Thus, it can be analyzed that Sundar Pichai had been able to address
all the grievances of higher authority and the financial department of Google.

Negative elements-

Unethical conduct and unreasonable decisions have been taken: Records have shown that
Google has been frustrated by super executives in 2019 because of sexual harassment.
Managers were accused of violating organizational practises and ties within the company
between managers, in which one of them was forced to resign. Several more cases exposed
Page's partial actions against one of its top employees when she was asked to leave the firm
for sexual harassment. In response to the NY Times, CEO Sundar Pichai and the VP for
human resources announced that 48 employees from the past (Meritt et al., 2019). 2 years
were sacked, moreover, without any pay, 13 of whom were senior managers and highly paid
managers. Because of this corruption from the end of the company, some workers have
wanted to resign and leave, and their decision was heavily repressed by Google itself. It adds
to the facts that Google stayed locked on to a new case with claims having an allergic
detrimental effect on the managing director.

The biggest negative element that was found in the managerial capability of Sundar Pichai is
that he failed to address the matters of sexual harassment at the correct time due to which
cases of sexual violence in the Google organization. Moreover, the staff and managers who
were identified as offenders of sexual harassment got more negative courage to increase this
type of heinous crimes within the organization. Hence, if Sundar Pichai had failed to take
initial steps to reduce the cases of sexual violence and also did not made any thorough
investigation about the causes behind the sexual harassment (Bhardwaj and Gupta, 2017),

thus, it reveals that there was a lack of administrative and human resource operational failure
due to which the victims did not receive any administrative and managerial support for
addressing the trauma they were facing. Hence, it is necessary for the Google organization to
hire more good employees who would be able to chalk out more efficient disciplinary models
in the working area. The company is also required to formulate more authentic regulations
and judicial systems to make the proper address of the cases of sexual violence (Pambuena
and Bernarte, 2018). Hence, it can be said that there is a necessity to make changes in the
judicial structure and pattern of addressing the relevant issues of employees. Sundar Pichai is
required to be cautious from next time and interact more with the female employees in detail
to acquire information about any sort of issues that they might be facing in the organization.

The making of people is a life cycle. It is a method for individuals to break down their

habit. When I go for the interview interviewer, want to see my attitude towards the job and
the way I am representing the thing in front of him. Having knowledge about anything and
know how to represent anything is two different things. Being determined about my goal
should be my priority. I should always be clear about my stand. Being confused about things
is the main hurdle in the career of anyone. A determined person can take high-level decisions
very effectively (Bhardwaj et al. 2017). I have to be determined. Sometimes I lack self-
confidence, and it is going to be a great hurdle in achieving my goal. If I lack self-confidence,
I can never represent any important topic in front of anyone. Self-confidence is a key factor
in developing a personality for anyone. Another most important trait I am lacking is
managing stress skillfully. Stress is common to everyone, but some know how to handle it
efficiently and so do not fall into the trap but some do not know the way to handle it properly,

and so they may end losing everything. The ability to manage stress is important for the
workplace as well as at home. I generally became stressed at very small things, and so I must
acquire the ability to handle it skillfully. Doing anything is not important making anything
habit is important all hard things become easy if we include those things in our habit. I have
to develop a quality of persistence (Jha et al., 2018). Problem is common in everyone's life,
but we should know the skill of finding the solution to any problem.

I fall into problems often, and sometimes I became very stressed due to these problems so a
person must know the skill of handling the problems effectively. If I want to move ahead in
my career, then I must know the skill of time management (Srinivasan et al. 2018). Managing
time effectively is the key to everyone's success. All the successful peoples of the world
always say that we must manage our time effectively to get the thing what we want. I am not
much efficient in managing time, so must have to learn time management to get, my goal.
Doing hard work randomly will never take me to my goal, so one more very important thing I
must have to learn is planning. Planning is the tool through which I can get our desired goal
in less effort (Vipinkumar et al. 2017). I have to learn about the planning of things which are
necessary for our goal. Now the world has changed everyone wants something new, so to
grow in the career, I must have to be creative. Creativity is the key factor, which every
company wants from its employee. I must have to be creative then only I can get what I want
in my life, after doing hard work to achieve something if someone unable to get that then he
may feel low and this is the point where one needs self-motivation. I must acquire this train
because it usually feels demotivated if I do not get my desired result. Self-motivation keeps
the person recharged all the time.

I am not possessed by many abilities, which are most important for personal development. I
have to make strategies to acquire those traits. For acquiring determination in my work, I
have to develop a vicious ability. I should take a firm stand on my words (Khurana et al.
2016). I should not distract by the small things happening around me. I should learn the
ability to ignore the things, which are not related to me directly or indirectly. I have to
develop self-discipline for becoming determined in my works. I will acquire the ability of
self-confidence only after becoming self-aware. I should be aware of my actions and all the
consequences of my action. I must learn to trust myself. Self-confidence appears in person
dressing, talking. To acquire the ability of self-confidence, I must know about my actions. A
positive attitude helps in achieving self-confidence. Once I am full of self-confidence, then

success will eventually come my way (Samsudin et al. 2019). Optimism is a trait, which
should be in every person. I must learn to be optimistic. Once I am optimistic, then I will
understand that there are so many things in the world to learn. So many good things are
around me. The attitude like, I will achieve my goal only comes when I will be optimistic. I
feel pleasure in fighting for things if I will be optimistic. I have to adopt the ability to manage
stress because it is the trait, which usually makes an effective person less effective. I know
that doing hard work once will never let me put at a successful place. To get the desired
result, I must have to be persistent.

Continuous hard work can only lead to success. I have to maintain my focus on the things,
which can lead me to my goal (García et al. 2020). I usually face many problems daily, and
so I feel low sometimes. To come out of this bad habit, I must learn the problem-solving
ability. It is the train, which can lead me to success very cheerfully. One very important trait I
have to learn is time management. I usually waste time doing ineffective things, and this is
the main hurdle in my way to success. Time management can teach me to use effectively, and
this can take me to the top. I also have to learn about planning. Doing things randomly is only
a waste of time. Doing things in a planned way can lead to success very easily and
effectively. I am not much creative ( Baumgartner et al., 2019). I cannot think of new things
easily. Now the world always wants new things, and so I have to be creative. I have to start
thinking differently. Those who are successful are not aliens they just know to create new
things effectively.

Effectiveness and creativity are not many different things. If I am effective then
automatically, I will start thinking differently, and new things start coming into my mind. If I
think about the new thing, then I will also become able to get the solutions to many of my
problems. At many points in my life, I feel demotivated, and so I just need to learn the ability
of self-motivation. All the people who were effective in their work usually find a way of
getting self-motivation. I have to be self-motivated always then only I can concentrate on my
work (Brennan et al. 2018). The attitude like I will get my goal only comes from the self-
motivated mind. I feel pleasure in fighting for things if I will be optimistic. I am not able to
get what I want in my life, and it is only because I am not developing the things which are
important for achieving my goal (Caldwell et al. 2016). Planning things and doing effective
time management can lead me to success. I just failed in one of my very important tasks, and
this happened due to a lack of confidence. After missing that task, I learned that I could not
reach my destination without acquiring the ability of self-confidence. Managing the available

time effectively is the key to success for the person. All the successful peoples always tell
the story about their effective time management. Self-confidence is a key factor in developing
a personality for anyone. Another most important trait I am lacking is managing stress

If I want to be successful in my life, then I must know how to handle the resources I have
effectively. To achieve the goals in the shortest time, I must have a better understanding of
personal effectiveness. I to reach the top easily must acquire so many traits. Developing an
effective personality is not much difficult but also not much easy. It takes time. I have to
invest my time to achieve the goals (Dahl et al. 2019). I have to commit myself that I will do
whatever is required to be successful. I will make an effective strategy to acquire the traits.
Once I get the personal efficiency then only I can get personal success. I will take the help of
experts to know more about how to get the necessary traits easily. I will only concentrate on
getting personal effectiveness; others will come automatically.

Conclusion

In a nutshell, it can be concluded from this assessment that personal effectiveness helps
individuals to enhance their skills and talents in order to execute something productive and
creative. Personal effectiveness allows individuals to acknowledge their potential and
strengths, which is required to focus on the target and to meet the goals made by them. The
case study of Sundar Pichai has allowed us to analyze the elements required to execute the
principles of personal effectiveness. On the other hand, the reflective report has helped in
understanding the concept related to personal effectiveness. However, there are several
advantages and disadvantages that are related to the implementation of personal
effectiveness. Being a good leader, Sundar Pichai has made the company a grand success,
and through the help of his leadership qualities, most of the employees who are working
under him have acquired the principles of personal effectiveness. Moreover, his creativity and

team members who have made Google one of the emerging companies in the world. Through
the principles and objectives of personal effectiveness, Sundar Pichai has made a mark in the
