General
Applicability
This manual applies to zenon Object Integration, version 8.00.
Information
The manual includes only general information of the software. If the software was
adapted to a specific customer requirement or application, the changes to the
software, that is handling, installation and operating instructions are not described
in the manual. You may find this information in a separate document, e.g. technical
data or engineering notes. For further assistance, contact your local ABB
representative.
Attention
Only authorized personnel should modify the software. Contact your local ABB
representative.
Target audience
This manual is intended for people who install, operate and maintain the zenon software.
The personnel must have knowledge of:
• software and relevant specifications
• functions of the operating panel and the driven process

3. Proceed with configuring the object in the Object Integration Wizard. See Welcome
tab (on page 9) and description of other tabs in sections below.

■ Welcome tab
In the Welcome window, read information about basic settings. Proceed with File import
tab.

Click the ? (Help ) button at top-right corner, to open the Object Integration Manual.

The selected ODFs are loaded. Check the status messages in the bottom of the window.
3. Proceed with Visualization tab.

■ Visualization tab
In the Visualization window,
1. Click Add and select a predefined object type, e.g. ACS800.
2. The object Subtype if exists loads automatically. Define a object model name.
3. If you selected the object row for example Drive1, only that object will appear in the
Visualization selection.
4. Click on the visualization object to preview the faceplate of the selected object.
Information
The object appears in the visualization selection only if the object elements are
predefined and the files are placed in this path:
C:\ProgramData\ABB\zenon800\ABB Add-ons\Device Object\Visualization. For
more information, contact zenon support or your local representative.
■ Modelling tab
The Modelling window shows predefined object models for the object type that is defined
in the Visualization tab. In this window proceed with configuring the object instances, for
example, ACS880 drive.
1. In Parameter Selection, check the required parameters that you prefer to create as
objects in zenon.
2. In Object Instances, define the number of object instances and a name prefix. Click
Add to add the instances.
The defined number of instances is added prefixed with the defined name.
Information
If you prefer to delete instance(s), click on the left of the specific instance name.
When a Blue highlight appears, click Remove.
■ Instantiation tab
The Instantiation window shows the defined object instances. In this window, proceed to
select communication drivers for each instance and select a screen or create a screen to
display the visualization of selected object instance(s).
1. In column Driver, select the appropriate communication driver name for each instance.
Hint
You can create a new driver name for the supported drivers with Driver
Creation.
Information
• Node ID: If Node ID is used, in TCP/IP tab, make sure that Net address is set same
as Node ID. Enter suitable connection name, appropriate IP address and Remote
Object Integration 15
port. Click Ping to check the connection and then click OKto create the driver
configuration.
2. Back in the Instantiation window, in column Net address, set the same value as in the
driver settings.
3. In column Screen, select a screen where the object visualization should be displayed.
Hint
You can create a new screen in the Instantiation tab itself in Screen creation.

3. Check the appropriate ModubusTCP gateway Interface, E.g. ETH1. See in above figure.
4. In the Navigation Home screen, go to Settings → Device interfaces → Modbus
TCP/Gateway and select a Device Name.

■ Finish tab
1. In the Finish window, click Finish at the bottom right, to complete the wizard configuration
and to load the new object.
2. Wait while the object installation is in progress. You can also read the status messages.
3. When the object related elements are successfully installed, click Done.
Information
Messages in the Finish window are displayed in different colors, based on the
element installation:
• Green: indicates success
• Orange: indicates a warning
• Red: indicates an error

Start runtime
The faceplate of defined object instances appear in the object screen. You can now proceed
to test the object integrated elements in the runtime window.
4. Left click on the drive icon to view the Dashboard window. See in the above figure.
The dashboard displays real time values of the selected object instance.
Information
If you right click on the object instance, a content menu appears that provides
more options to display.
