Ultrasound energy transmitted to deep tissue of face at 60-70C -> tightening and lifting of face
through collagen regeneration

Recommend once (at most twice) therapy

Not replacement to facelift but good option for:


1. Patients just beginning to have sagging
2. Older patients who can’t undergo facelift
3. Facelift patient who would like some maintenance

Exclusion criteria were active local infections or skin diseases that might alter wound healing,
acne or keloidal scarring, significant ptotic skin or subcutaneous fat, recent ablative or
nonablative skin procedures, and surgical procedures within a year to the proposed treatment
sites.
Duration 15 minutes up to 2 hours
Red and swollen for 24 hours
Results in 3-6 months
Last up to 2 years with consistent skin care
dermis (1.5mm), deep dermis (3.0mm), or the subdermal tissues (4.5mm) including the SMAS
layer
