1) God wants believers to be assured of several important things, including that Jesus is their personal Savior and friend, that all their sins are forgiven, and that God's plan is for their ultimate good. 2) Believers can know that Jesus is their Savior by welcoming Him into their lives and trusting in Him for salvation. They can be certain their sins are forgiven because of what Jesus accomplished on the cross. 3) God also wants believers to have assurance that all events are working toward His purposes and the fulfillment of His will, when Jesus will return to establish His eternal kingdom.

Surely these references make it absolutely clear that God wants us to have
