Task 1: Interview Report (20%) – Individual Task

In line with the changing role of educators, teachers should be more innovative, creative and
effective in their delivery and always think of new approaches to adapt their practice to the
needs of students as "Knowledge workers" in the 21st century information revolution era.
Teachers in the new millennium should be professional and their professionalism is the key to
quality improvement. (Jemaah Nazir, 2001)

Choose an administrator (Head Teacher / Senior Assistant) and interview him or her on the
following matters:

a. Current school administration issues


b. Current challenges faced by leadership in schools
c. Efforts that have been or are and will be implemented to improve the process
of teaching and learning in the national education system.

Prepare a report based on the results of the interview you have made then submit using the
standard report format.

(Report writing should not exceed 600 words)

Send the report writing outcome to the lecturer through Whatsap or any platform set by the
lecturer.

Task 2 – Academic Writing (30%) – Individual Task

“Teachers need to be versatile educators, always up to date with the situation of students,
schools and the policy of the Ministry of Education Malaysia. New teachers need to come up
with new ideas, hipster creative, sensitive transformation takes place in the curriculum,
otherwise we will become old teachers as early as the third year of service. ”

Kampus Pendidikan Teknik, Bandar Enstek NS , 2018)
Based on the above statement, submit your personal and career development plan as a
professional and versatile teacher according to your study options. Based on information
from various sources, discuss the issues and challenges that will be faced in an effort to
become a versatile teacher as well as analyze the role of teachers as professional leaders in
improving the quality of various aspects of teaching and learning.

the lecturer.
