• An intentional & professionally
guided activity that aims at
change in adult person.
Adult Learning ( Andragogy)
• Malcolm Knowles (1913- 1997) is the
theorist, who brought the concept of
"Adult Learning."
The Andragogical Model – Adults as
Learners

Adults are autonomomous & self- directed.

Adults are goal oriented

Adults are practical

Adults need to be shown respect.


MOTIVATION
• According to Stephen Lieb ( 1991), one
aspect of adult learning is motivation.
• Atleast six factors serve as
sources of motivation for
adult learning.
