2. What are the importance of IT governance?
3. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the distributed data processing
model?

1.) IT Governance controls and ensures that the whole organization is able to
achieve their goal in a way that’s effective and efficient processes and use of
Information Technology.

2.) The importance of IT governance is to avoid unnecessary risks and events by


controlling and monitoring the organizational structure of the business. In addition,
IT governance is important because it aims to improve the performance and
resource management of the business by controlling the most of the
organizational and operational functions and lastly it ensures that IT systems of
the business are executing their task properly and efficiently.

3.) The advantages of distributed data processing model are Cost Control because
it controls and reduces cost of the business making it more profitable and the
increase in user satisfaction by allowing users and customers to be involved or
become a factor towards the business The disadvantages are the possibilities of
loss of control, the mismanagement of organizational function, incompatibly of
various hardware’s to different technologies due to outdated devices and the
rampant speed of upgrading to newer versions.
