Tasks Deadline

Check the grouping below for the topic you will work on. There are 18 October 2019
only four topics for this assignment: Communicating science with the
use of ICTs, Communication of Research Results, Communication
of Science to the General Public, Enhancing Interaction among
Scientists

The first task is Situational Awareness and Analysis – You will

conduct a situational awareness and analysis of the issue assigned
to you (e.g. Enhancing Interaction among Scientists). This part
requires you to:
· Identify a specific problem related to this general issue. You
can include overview of the problem, literature regarding the
problem, gap that needs to be addressed, the conditions and
circumstances that influences the problem, the size and scope
of the problem, the interrelationship of this problem with the
other problems related to science communication.
· Identify the key audience and stakeholders.
· Define the objectives of your research paper.

Output: 500 -750 words

2. In Solution Scanning, you will list all the known possibilities for 05 November 2019
addressing the problem or set of problems you have identified
in Number 1 in the context of science communication and
development communication. Please refer to the article by
Sutherland which is uploaded in the course site. In doing the
solution scanning, identify at least 10 solutions found in the
literature or interview from experts. Discuss the growing
consciousness of stakeholders on the solution, methodology
of the solution as well as the effectiveness of each solution.

your solution scanning, you will now make a decision on the solution
that you will adopt and the specific strategy that you will apply. This
will also include contextualization of that problem to the community
or locale you have identified. You also need to clearly identify the
message, the media channels, the resources and budget needed for
the solution you have identified This also includes identifying the
champions and strategies in forming the network. Solutions must
always be in context and should not be blindly fitted into a situation.
Discuss in detail how you will contextualize the solution.
