Counselor: Led a group of 5th grade students as cabin counselor, assisting them with
group development, supervising, and guiding them through a safe and fun experience. In
addition, assisted a naturalist in teaching environmental curriculum, including engaging
activities based around soil importance/components and bird songs/behavior.

Ecology/Conservation Director: Developed and implemented several lesson plans
covering merit badge/award requirements, including a wide range of ecology/natural
resources-based subjects. Directed the nature center, which included crafted educational
displays, live animal enclosures, and a pollinator garden. Managed two instructors and
six volunteers from surrounding state organizations. Instructed courses using
aforementioned lesson plans, often including live animal handling. Maintained a detailed
and extensive inventory of supplies and materials. Advised camp management on matters
of ecology/conservation, including timber sale/regeneration, erosion management, fishing
program structure, and wildlife conflict mediation (i.e. venomous snake relocation).
