Learning Task

7:00-8:00 am Learning Task 1: Classify the items below as to LINEAR or NON-LINEAR texts. Write your
answers in your notebook. Write your answers in a whole sheet of paper.

Learning Task 2: Identify what is being described by each definition under Column A.
Choose from the options provided under Column B. Write the letters of your answers in
your answer sheet.

8:00-9:00 am Reading Activity: Study and analyze the lesson “Linear and Non-Linear Texts”.

Learning Task 3: In your answer sheet, identify what non-linear texts or visual
representations should be used in transcoding the sample linear texts listed below.

9:00-10:00
Learning Task 4: In your answer sheet, transcode the information below into an
appropriate non-linear representation.

Learning Task 5: In your answer sheet, transcode the non-linear text below into a
paragraph form.
10:00-11:00 Learning Task: In your answer sheet, come up with a Venn diagram that summarizes the
similarities and differences between a linear and a non-linear text. Then, write a 5-
sentence paragraph discussing the importance of understanding and knowing how to
transcode the two text types.

Congratulations! You have finished the tasks for this week (Week 7-8), perhaps it gave
you more insights about the lesson. This time, please secure all your answered activity
sheets by putting them inside the long brown envelop in English.
