FAHUD COMPRESSOR STATION SITE VISIT REPORT

GENERAL:

1. The Site is in FAHUD which is a an isolated area with gas transporting station and oil fields
2. The compressor station is related to to this Gas transporing station.
3. There is a control room,3 gas transportation facility, and Air compressing skid, and switch gear
room in the plant.
4. The existing scenario of the compressor skid is that , it has 3 compressors(CA,CB CC) and 3 set of
Membrane dryer and filter trains(installed on channel support), and one control panel (to be
demolished after installation of new compressor ) whole of this is situated in a shed(5mx 10m
10 m h) with a concrete foundation. No enclosure there for the shed, Only roof and supporting
poles. dimension of the shed (in the attached plot diagram)
5. Currently 2 compressors are working and 1 is standby, same with the dryer and filter train.Any 3
compresssor can be run with any 3 dryer and filter trains.
6. One no of air receiver vessel is placed on east of the shed parallel to the compressor station as
shown in the plot plan (attached) Distance between existing receiver tank and shed is 2 m
7. The IA and plant air pipelines are going towards the utility on the south side of shed from the
receiver tank. One drain pit is also provided on the south side of the shed for the drain from the
compressor and dryer and filter trains.
8. The electrical switch gear room is situated at a distance of 150 m from the compressor skid.
9. The elecrical cables are underground cables
10. The control room is situated at a distance of 100 m from the existing compressor skid
11. The proposed new compressor skid with new control panel and dryer and filter train will come
at the west of the skid at a distance of 3 m from the existing skid. Now the area is bare land with
out any structure.
12. We have to do the civil work for foundation and pipe support, Construct the sunshade shed for
the new compressor skid, and the receiver tank
13. The new receiver tank will come at the south of the proposed skid at a distance of 3 m from the
proposed skid as shown in the attachment.
