I .Objective
At the end of 40 minutes lesson the student should be able to:
A. Identify the types of weather,
B. Explore how weather affects people, and
C. Appreciate the different kinds of weather.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Weather
Reference: Scott Foresman Teachers Edition:Wonders in Science and Health
Materials: pictures, whiteboard marker,
charts, tape, videos.
Values: Alertness

III. Learning Activities


A.1. Preliminary Activity
1. Routine: Setting of Standard
 Sit properly
 Listen attentively
 Participate actively
2. Drill: Name the land formation or bodies of water in the picture.
3. Review: Choose the name of each season and put it below the picture.

4. Activate Prior Knowledge


Encourage the class to name the picture.
B. Teach and Supply
1. Motivation
Show pictures of different weather forecasters and ask the following questions:
A. Do you know who they are?
B. What they are doing?

2. Presentation
Present a video about the weather. (1 min.)
3. Discussion (Community of Inquiry or P4C Structured Approach)
1. Children will sit in a circle (Thinking Space) and teacher will set the standards for discussion
and inquiry.
2. SET THE AGENDA- introduce to them friends from the sky with their questions on it.
3. AIR THE QUESTION: (Present questions one at a time)
a. When I’m out in the sky, what are the clothes that you want to wear and you don’t like to wear?
b. I cook and eat a lot. What are the foods that I will cook for my raindrops family?

c. Come on! Let’s play. What are the things that you love to do when my mama wind is around.

4. FACILITATE CRITICAL DISCUSSION between the children. Repeat the procedure to


the other question
5. ENDING THE INQUIRY: Teacher will ask the class about the clothes, food and activity
that they do in different weather, is it the same? Or different?

4. Group activity
