The Secretary General sends a memo to all MDC-T National Council, National, Provincial, District and Ward Executive Members regarding the upcoming MDC-T Extra Ordinary Congress in December 2020. The Secretary General expresses dismay over a statement suggesting only 2014 structures would be invited, and says that a united party is needed. All MDC Alliance members should participate and vote. While disagreeing with how the Harare youth chair took over party headquarters, supporting a united front against Mnangagwa's regime is agreed. Verification of bona fide 2014 delegates is occurring with the national organiser, and the chairperson and honourable are being updated on developments. Involving police is not an option now; the priority

TO: All National Council, National, Provincial, District and Ward Executive Members RE: MDC-T EXTRA ORDINARY CONGRESS - DECEMBER 2020 I read with dismay a statement purportedly coming from our Information and Publicity department, which alludes to the selective invitation of 2014 structures to the Extra Ordinary Congress. My view as the Secretary General has always been clear, that we need a united party to emerge out of our Extra Ordinary Congress. We must be reminded that Chamisa and all he purports to command are MDC-T structures. The Composite Political Agreement (Alliance Agreement) is clear on the independence of individual political parties and it clearly spells out that all the parties revert back to their individual identities after elections. Going forward, I am fully in support of all MDC-Alliance members participating at our Extra Ordinary Congress. All the five (5) potential presidential candidates including myself have agreed that our legitimacy as elected leaders can only be achieved when all MDC- T 2014 structures are allowed to participate and vote at the Extra Ordinary Congress. While I do not agree with how Harare Province youth assembly chairperson, Paul Gorekore went about taking over Morgan Richard Tsvangirai House, I must however point out that I agree and support the notion of a united front against a brutal Mnangagwa regime. I am therefore currently working with the national organising secretary, Abednico Bhebhe in verifying bona fide 2014 delegates. I am also aware of the fact that our chairperson, Senator Morgen Komichi and Honourable Bhebhe are being updated daily on the developments unfolding at our party headquarters and thus the involvement of police in repossessing our headquarters is not an option at this stage. Our main priority for now is to unite the entire MDC family. Let us all work hard towards a successful and undisputed Extra Ordinary Congress in December.
