used for any legal purposes.

Remarks :
Test Principle:
Detection of COVID-19 via Novel Coronavirus 2019 (nCoV-19) real time PCR characterizes viruses in
human respiratory system by two regions of the virus in two separate reactions: E gene is used for
screening purpose and Orf1ab target region is used to discriminate COVID-19 Specifically. The assay
includes an Internal Control to identify possible PCR inhibition, to measure extraction purity and to
confirm the integrity of the PCR run.
Comments:
"A "Detected" / "Positive" result indicates the presence of COVID-19 and is consistent with active
infection (acute or chronic)
COVID-19 titer may fluctuate in the course of treatment; therefore a single negative PCR test should not
be used to rule out infection.
Result correlation with patient medical history and clinical symptoms and other laboratory findings is
highly recommended.
It is advisable not to compare results of this technique with others as results may vary among labs
because of the differences in PCR methods.
Note: Detection limit of the assay is 270copies/ml
