Malachi 3:6 I The Lord Do Not Change. So You, O Descendants of Jacob, Are Not Destroyed

This document discusses how in a changing world, God remains unchanging. It notes that while the world and our lives experience constant change, from technology to our physical bodies, God's character does not change. God's promises, love, grace, and longsuffering have always been and will always be the same. The document emphasizes that the gospel message of salvation through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ also does not change, and warns against teachings that alter this fundamental truth. It concludes by affirming God's unchanging justice, loving-kindness, care for humanity, and forgiveness through faith in Christ remain steadfast anchors in a sea of change.

The Unchanging God in a Changing World

Malachi 3:6
I the Lord do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.

I. God says that He Change not

The truth of this verse will give you stability in an unstable world that no matter what happens,
God says He does not change!
We’ve been through changes in our lives.

TV - Old Blaupunk – now you get Digital

CPU’s - Could remember my first one. You had to work with DOS. Program your own programs, then came windows.
I mean the computer we’ve got two years ago is a dinosaur
Bodies - Have someone noticed that we’re getting older, or is it just me. I was playing social cricket, couldn’t keep the
ball out, I used to be able to do that.
Birthdays – Gavin had his birthday three days ago and we can see the changes in Him. Sherea started to walk
ALL CHANGES – I believe that each one here will have his own list of changes.
Some good ones, others not so good ones.
In all of this, Malachi says, “God changes not”

II. Look at Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.
This is a great scripture!
No matter what the future holds, we can rest in the fact that God will never change.

His promises stay the same,

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward,
not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Love stay the same,

Romans 5:8 But God commanded his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Grace stay the same,

John 1:17. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Longsuffering stay the same,

1 Peter 3:19-20 by which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;[20]Which sometime were disobedient,
when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight
souls were saved by water.
All this was, is and will be!

III. Look at James 1:17-18

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with who is no
variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Word says there is no “neither shadow of turning.”
But it is good for us to change……Thank God for that.
I’m not what I used to be… He changed me when I met Jesus.
My prayer is “Lord please change people to your hand”.
I’ve seen many people coming through our church doors, I also saw them going. If these people could just humble
themselves, sought God and pray, we would have had a revival.
2 Chron. 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their
wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
This country will change in the next 12 months, Change is unstoppable.
This country need God, They need Him now!
Malachi said no God said that he will not change.
Numbers 23:19
God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or
hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

IV. This brings me to church.

I’ve seen so many changes in Church.
I’ve seen messages changing and dare I say it:
I’ve heard people preaching another gospel.
A love Gospel, That God loves all and all, loves
God, being saved without repentance.
I’ve even heard some preaching that Allah is our God. Things like Jesus died spiritually. That’s blaspheming.
We’ve heard all about these different blessings!
We’ve heard that the old Gospel drives people away, we need programs, and entertainment, purposes, visions and the list
go on.
In all this God says that He never changes!
The cross is still the same, The Blood is still the same.
Jesus said
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6
That is still the same. He is still the only way to the Father.
The Father of Isaiah 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
We need to preach the cross to the world! That’s the Good News.
What about 2003…..
Yes people may let down again, other things may let you down but God stays the same.

There are two facts for us to look at here; the first fact, that this world and all that is in it are full of change; the second
fact, that God who made us, and from whom comes every good gift, is unchanging. The face of the earth and the history
of its people are always changing. If we turn from the world of nature and look at ourselves, we shall see change
everywhere. Have you ever known what it is to revisit your home after an absence of many years? All changed. The place,
once so familiar, looks strange and unnatural now. Yes, the tree lives yet, but the hand that planted it is gone. Seeing these
constant changes in the world, in ourselves, in our friends, it becomes a tremendous thought that God is just the same as
ever. The same as the God of the new-made universe, the same as the God of Abraham, of Moses; the same who took our
flesh and was made man; the same who rose again and ascended into heaven, the Christ of the Gospels, ever the same.
One great reason why our lives are so fall of change is that we may learn that this is not our rest. That we may look up
from changing earth, to a changeless God, and on eternity, where a thousand years are but as yesterday. The gift of faith in
believing, the gift of hope, and of life eternal — these things change not; the gifts of the world, the greatness of the world,
pass away, God and His gifts alone remain unchanging.
1. First of all, God's justice is unchanging.
2. Again, the loving-kindness of God is unchanging.
3. Again, the tender care of God for us is unchangeable.
4. Lastly, the forgiveness of God is unchangeable. God will forgive us our sins on the same conditions as of old, and on no
other.
