METHODOLOGY

The research used a quantitative non-experimental correlational design to determine the relationship between gas station employees' work motivation and performance during the pandemic. A survey questionnaire was administered to 30 gas station attendants from 6 stations in Marilao, Philippines who were selected through systematic sampling. The questionnaire collected demographic data and used closed-ended questions with likert scales and multiple choice responses. Google Forms was used to analyze the quantitative survey data through graphs, percentages, and frequency counts to summarize the results and determine the correlation between variables.

METHODOLOGY

Research Design

The research employed quantitative non-experimental design utilizing

correlational technique. The quantitative research design is formal, objective,
systematic process in which numerical data are used to obtain information about
the variables. It determines how relevant information for a study will be obtained
(Sileyew, 2019). Correlational research is a quantitative method of research in
which you have two or more quantitative variables from the same group of
subjects. The design will be used since the main purpose of the study is to
determine gas station's employees work motivation and performance during the
pandemic.

Research Sample

The participants of the study are the Gas Station's Employees in Marilao.
The researchers used probability sampling and employed systematic sampling to
be specific. The researcher pre-qualified 35 gas attendants working from different
gas stations located here at Marilao. The researcher gathered 30 gas attendants
whose work motivation and performance are affected during the pandemic.

The Instrument

The researchers conducted survey questionnaires which was given to the

participants. The questionnaire was composed of questions and are organized
systematically from simple to difficult questions. It was also based from the
research question of the study. The questionnaire was also a close-ended question
which is composed of yes/no question, likert scale and multiple choice questions.

Data Collection

The researchers administered the questionnaire to 30 gas station

attendants from different locations of gas stations here in Marilao. From Petron
(M. Villarica Road), 6 gas attendants are chosen, from Uno Fuel (Loma De Gato),
5 gas attendants are chosen, from Super Gas Station (M. Villarica Road), 5 gas
attendants are chosen, from 8 Miles Gas Station (M. Villarica Road), 4 gas
attendants are chosen, from Filoil by Total (M. Villarica Road), 4 and 6 gas
attendants from Shell (M. Villarica Road). Before administering the
questionnaires, the researchers asked first for the permission of the participants to
take part with full honesty, for the researchers to gather valid results. The
researchers also reminded the participants that the information that they will
provide will remain confidential. The archived survey data included demographic
profile such as name, gender and age.
After collecting all the necessary data, the researchers tabulated it
through descriptive method as a statistical method which includes the graph,
percentage and frequency counts of the gathered data to determine the relationship
of variables.

Data Analysis Procedure

Google Forms was utilized to analyze the quantitative survey data.

Quantitative data analysis in the form of a graph, percentage and frequency counts
was employed. The researchers chose this type of statistical approach as it
accurately summarizes the whole data gathered in one value, the degree of
correlation and direction of correlation. At the same time, the researchers also
used descriptive statistical method to answer some research questions.
