SESSION 1: SELF-AWARENESS, SELF-MASTERY AND TEACHER AGENCY


1. What 3 qualities (positive) best describe you as a person?
2. What 3 qualities (negative) best describe you as a person?
3. What qualities best describe you as a teacher?
4. From your previous answers, which qualities form part of your strengths?
5. From your previous answers, which qualities form part of your weaknesses?
6. Your qualities underlie the values that you hold dear. What do these values mean to you and
your day-to-day life?
7. Your qualities underlie the values that you hold dear. How do you demonstrate these values
with your actions? In other words, are they consistent or inconsistent with your actions? Cite a
situation.

Do some quick math to compare how much Alana is spending for her needs and
for her wants.
2. What should be Alana’s goals by this time?
3. What 2-3 options would you outline for Alana to help her achieve her goals?
4. Why do you think the so called “Sangla ng ATM” is happening to teachers and personnel of the
department?
5. How can the teachers get out of that situation?
6. What recommendations can you give to teachers who have financial difficulties?
