1. Tugasan ini mengandungi SATU (1) soalan sahaja yang disediakan dalam bahasa modul bercetak
kursus ini. / This assignment contains only ONE (1) question that is set in the language of the printed
module for the course.
2. Jawab dalam Bahasa Melayu atau Bahasa Inggeris. / Answer in Malay or English.
3. Muatturunkan templet tugasan versi bahasa yang berkenaan daripada MyVLE untuk penyediaan dan
penyerahan tugasan anda. Tugasan anda hendaklah ditaip dengan menggunakan saiz fon 12 Times New
Roman dan langkau baris 1.5. / Download the language version of the assignment template concerned
from the MyVLE for preparation and submission of your assignment. Your assignment should be typed
using 12 point Times New Roman font and 1.5 line spacing.
4. Tugasan anda hendaklah antara 2500 hingga 3000 patah perkataan tidak termasuk rujukan. Bilangan
perkataan hendaklah ditunjukkan di hujung tugasan anda. Jangan menyalin soalan dan arahan tugasan
dalam jawapan anda. / Your assignment should be between 2500 to 3000 words excluding references.
The number of words should be shown at the end of your assignment. Do not copy the assignment
question and instructions to your answer.
5. Anda dikehendaki menghantar tugasan kepada TUTOR BERSEMUKA. / You must submit your
assignment to the TUTOR.
6. Anda hanya boleh menghantar tugasan SEKALI sahaja dalam SATU fail. / You can submit your
assignment ONCE only in a SINGLE file.
7. Tugasan anda hendaklah diserahkan sebelum atau pada 7 Mac 2011. Serahan selepas 7 Mac 2011 tidak
akan diterima. / Your assignment must be submitted before or by the 7 March 2011. Submission after 7
March 2011 will not be accepted.
8. Tugasan hendaklah disiapkan secara individu. Anda dilarang meniru tugasan orang lain. Anda juga
dilarang sama sekali memplagiat kerja orang lain sebagai kerja sendiri. /Your assignment should be

Prepare a micro-teaching lesson to teach a particular reading skill to High English Proficiency
(HEP) Year Six students. You can focus on teaching any one of the reading skills that is found in
Topics 1 to 6. Create or adapt teaching-learning materials and write out enrichment activities
suitable for a short lesson. Select a suitable lesson plan format. After you have completed your
lesson plan have a practising teacher or course-mate evaluate it as well as the activities. Based on
the comments and feedback obtained make changes to improve your micro-teaching lesson. Make
the changes where necessary and only if you think the comments are valid. Review three research
articles or related references to help you. Write out a second and improved lesson plan. Justify the
new lesson plan and explain the reasons for the changes that you have made. List out your
references and write a separate report based on what you have read. You will need to make copies
of the articles or references together with the feedback you get from a practising teacher/ course-
mate and hand them up as part of the assignment.

GUIDELINES FOR STUDENTS
1. You are required to write out a lesson plan that is suitable for a micro-teaching session
which should not take more than 20 minutes.
2. Decide on the reading skill that you would like to teach. Then select and adapt a suitable
text to suit your students’ proficiency level.
3. Design and write out a suitable enrichment activity or activities.
4. Teaching-learning materials e.g. printed lessons, audio-visual aids, CD ROMs, charts, realia
etc. must be included together with your lesson plan.
5. You can obtain feedback on your lesson plan from your friend or course-mate via e-mail if
you are not able to have a face-to-face interaction. (Remember to hand in the feedback with your
assignment).
6. You will need to pass up two micro-teaching lesson plans. The first will be the first draft of
your lesson plan. The second will be the improved version with changes made.
7. Include the rationale for the changes that you have made to your original lesson plan in
detail.
8. Write out the list of references that you have used for this assignment using the APA system
as well as a report based on what you have read.
9. Make copies of the articles or references and hand them up as part of the assignment.

berdasarkan kepada Rubrik / Skema Jawapan. / This assignment accounts for 30 % of the marks
for the course mentioned and shall be assessed based on the Rubrics / Answer Scheme.
