Anatomy of The Human Arm

The human arm consists of the shoulder, upper arm, forearm, wrist and hand. The shoulder is a ball and socket joint that allows the arm to move in almost any direction. The upper arm contains the humerus bone. The forearm is comprised of the ulna and radius bones. The wrist connects the forearm to the hand and is made up of 8 small bones. The hand contains 27 bones including carpals, metacarpals and phalanges.
