ISO STANDARDS:
ISO 9000 can help a company satisfy its customers, meet supervisory
requirements, and accomplish continual enhancement. It should be well-
thought-out to be a first step or the sordid level of a quality system.
ASQ is the only place where establishments can obtain the American National
Standard Institute (ANSI) varieties of these values in the ISO 9000 family.
ISO 9000 antiquity and reconsiderations: ISO 9000:2000, 2008, and 2015

ASQ wheels the U.S. Technical Advisory Groups and subcommittees that are
accountable for emergent the ISO 9000 family of standards. In its standards
development work, ASQ is accredited by the American National Standards
Institute (ANSI).
ISO 9000:2000:
ISO 9000:2000 refers to the ISO 9000 update unconfined in the year 2000.
ISO 9000:2000 was over rationalized in 2008 and 2015. ISO 9000:2015 is the
most contemporary version
The compensations linked with ISO 9000 warranty are frequent, as both
occupational specialists and business owners will attest. These backings,
which can impact nearly all crooks of a company, range from augmented
stature to bottom-line working savings. They include:

Increased marketability—Nearly all observers agree that ISO 9000
recording provides businesses with evidently sensitive reliability with
current and prospective clients alike. Principally, it verifies that the
business is enthusiastic to providing quality to its customers, which is no
small advantage whether the company is vending with a long-time
customer or trying to pry a hypothetically lucrative customer away from
a competitor. This advantage establishes itself not only in increased
customer holding, but also in increased customer acquisition and
heightened ability to enter into new markets; indeed, ISO 9000
registration has been quoted as being of particular value for small and
mid-sized industries wanting to establish a presence in international
markets.

DISADVANTAGES OF ISO 9000:
Despite the many blessings associated with ISO 9000, however, enterprise
proprietors and consultants caution agencies to lookup the rigorous
certification process earlier than committing resources to it. Following is a
listing of workable hurdles for entrepreneurs to learn about before committing
to an initiative to achieve ISO 9000 certification:
Owners and managers do not have an enough grasp of the ISO 9000
certification process or of the pleasant requirements themselves—Some
business proprietors have been regarded to direct their company's sources
towards ISO 9000 registration, solely to locate that their incomplete
perception of the process and its necessities effects in wasted time and effort.
Funding for organising the best machine is inadequate—Critics of ISO 9000
contend that accomplishing certification can be a very expensive process,
particularly for smaller firms. Indeed, according to a 1996 Quality Systems
Update survey, the common value of ISO certification for small companies
(those registering less than $11 million in annual sales) used to be $71, 000.
Heavy emphasis on documentation—The ISO 9000 certification technique
depends heavily on documentation of inner running tactics in many areas, and
as Meyer stated, "many say ISO's exacting documentation necessities gobble
up time. Indeed, there are horror testimonies about organizations losing great
commercial enterprise due to the fact a documentation obsession redirected
their priorities." According to Nation's Business, small commercial enterprise
owners want to locate an fabulous stability between ISO documentation
requirements, which are admittedly "one is ISO 9000's hallmarks, " and
attending to the fundamental enterprise of going for walks a company: "Strike
a balance amongst obsessively writing down each employee's task, imparting
training for the work, and letting frequent experience dictate how a venture is
to be performed."
Length of the process—Business executives and owners acquainted with the
ISO 9000 registration process warn that it is a process that takes many months
to complete. The 1996 Quality Systems Update survey indicated that it took
groups an average of 15 months to go from the early levels of the system to
passage of the ultimate audit, and that processes of 18-20 months or even
longer were no longer that uncommon

ISO plays an important role in every industry as it helps to set a comprehensive
set of Instructions and standards and help the governing bodies to implement
them since it will be confusing if there were different set of rules for every
country and due to this it’s also implemented in the automotive industry. ISO
made a standard for every Automotive Industry in the world and made them
obliged to follow it since it was made by experts in their respective fields which
were relevant to Automotive industry. Not only it was made to check and
balance the quality but it also helped the Automotive industry to revolutionize
their production rate it as provided guidelines for better production rate. ISO/TS

It defines the management system for the production, design and R&D
(Research and Development) along with installation of Automotive products
whether it’s a car, some parts or other thing which are remotely related to
Automotive Industry. It is applicable to the organizations who are responsible to
manufacture specified parts or production or Service of automotive vehicle.
Other supporting chains such as Design centers and headquarters or distribution
centers can also be supported by this certificate but they can’t only work by this
certificate as they require other certificates as well.
ISO/TS 16949:2009 was first developed in 1999 by IATF (International
Automotive Task Force) in conjunction with ISO, it was a technical
specification for automotive sectors quality management and it was called
ISO/TC 176 back then and since then it’s one of the most widely used
International Standard in automotive Industry and its aim is to improve global
automotive supply chain and to harmonize different certification system by
making it as detailed as possible but from 2016 onwards it will be published as
IATF 16949:2016 by the IATF and would go on to replace the ISO/TS 16949
from October 2016 and will elaborate quality and management systems for
Automotive Industry while respecting ISO 9001:2015 and its requirement and
IATF will ensure strong cooperation with ISO through ISO/TC 176.

are remotely related to them on how to become 3rd party registered and defines
the criteria for Automotive based QMS (Quality Management Services) and the
great thing about it is that it can be used by any supplier whether they are a
large group or small and can be applied throughout the supply chain and As a
matter of fact there are over 65,000 suppliers worldwide which are currently
certified with ISO/TS 16949. All the requirements of IATF are applicable
unless the supplier doesn’t deals with the product designing feature and then
there will be come exceptions and most of the requirements of IATF are generic
and aren’t that complicated and are applicable to every suppliers who are related
to Automotive industry (which also includes the software used by the
automotive industry). The IATF 16949 is also applicable to the sites where
