The classic frog problem describes a frog trying to climb out of a 10 foot deep well. Each day the frog climbs 3 feet, but slips back 2 feet at night. Over the course of 10 days, the frog is able to climb the full 10 feet and escape the well.

Answer is 10 days. The frog can get out in 10 days. It is indicated in the problem that the frog only slips
back at night.

Day 1: 3ft - 2ft = 1ft

Day 2: 1ft + 3ft = 4ft - 2ft =2ft

Day 3: 2ft + 3ft = 5ft - 2ft =3ft

Day 4: 3ft + 3ft = 6ft - 2ft = 4ft

Day 5: 4ft + 3ft = 7ft - 2ft = 5ft

Day 6: 5ft + 3ft = 8ft - 2ft = 6ft

Day 7: 6ft + 3ft = 9ft - 2ft =7ft

Day 8: 7ft + 3ft = 10ft -2ft = 8ft

Day 9: 8ft + 3ft = 11ft - 2ft = 9ft

Day 10: 9ft + 3ft = 12ft

By the 10th day, the frog managed to reached 12ft and got out of the well.
