pag-aaral.

their profession. How these factors affecting them in deciding the chosen career they want also to help
them decide to choose accounting as their profession.

their career choice. As our study focuses on the determination of factors both positive and negative
perceptions that influence students to either open or permanently close the opportunity of becoming an
accountant.

Question 5: How will this study contribute to the body of knowledge?

-- Our study will strive to fill in the gaps left by the previous researchers of this topic. This study will
contribute to the body of knowledge as it aims to help students assess their capabilities in deciding after
considering all the factors affecting their choices.

Question 6: What is the significance of the study?

-- Through this study we are hoping to have a tangible result that will both improve the accounting
education in the Philippines and the continuing aspirations of many to pursue this profession.

Question 7: What limitations did you encounter?

The main limitation we've encountered while completing the research proposal is the lack of sources of
data. There are myriad of published articles but there was a high percentage that they were not reliable
enough. In addition, some of the researches related to accounting are hardly accessible and are limited
that we had a hard time completing our review of related literatures.

Question 8: What makes your research proposal different from other previous study?

-- This research is different from other research studies because of our willingness to bridge the gap left
by previous researchers. The gap that this study wants to determine are the decisive factors that
influence the decision of CLSU students in choosing accounting as a profession, be it economically or
socially unlike the previous studies that only focuses on some related factors. In addition, this study was
conducted amidst pandemic but we strived to fulfill our goals as our willingness to contribute to the
body of knowledge is greater than all the "ifs" that we have encountered.

Question 9: What Methods or Sampling Technique did you employ?

The sampling techniques that we have used are the combination of convenience and purposive
sampling for the reason that they both offered convenience in gathering respondents knowingly that
everyone is facing difficulty due to pandemic. They lessen the limitation faced by the researchers but still
offered the same amount of help compared to other type of sampling techniques.

Question 10: Why choose this method?

The data collection is used to meet the objective of the research. The researchers believe that through
this methods, they will be able to gather all the necessary knowledge and data to fulfill the objectives of
the study.

Question 11: What source of data was employed for the study?
Most of the data used in our research were materials published in internet. As it was hard for everyone
to go in a reference center to gather sources. But still made sure to check the legitimacy and reliability
of sources used to support our claims and objectives.

Another variable is the dependent variables wherein it includes the students' decision in choosing
accounting as a profession.

There are many foreign similar works but there are limited existing works like this in our
country, we think that the findings of this study will contribute a lot in the improvement of the
accountancy profession, not only for the students but also to the teachers and educational institutions
as well. Some of the gaps that we found ...(share, pag may naisip kayo)

Q15: Who will be most interested in your work?

The one who will be most interested to our work are the accountancy students in particular and also
those who plans to pursue this profession. This research may be also interesting for the accounting
professors to know the factors that affects their students in choosing and pursuing this program.

Q16: Is your literature current (up-to-date)?

No, some of our literature exceed the usual 10-year consideration. But according to our previous
instructor when we consulted this issue to him before the topic we have chosen will still be able to carry
out its mission as those findings gathered long time ago are still able to help the development of our
study.
Q17: Where did you get your research framework? Is it your own? Why this framework?

The concepts inside the model are all encrypted by us but we have only borrowed the IPO framework as
it is widely used to convey the process used by the researchers. We choose Input-Process-Output
Framework (IPO) because this is the simplest way to identify and answer the factors and variables
included in our study. We also include feedbacks to connect with the input and output wherein the
information given should be connected with the decision of the respondents.

Q18: What was the most challenging aspect of your research?

- The most challenging aspect of our paper so far was the determination of our objectives. Because
objectives serve as the guide, backbone and the very essence of our study Those are what we strive to
unfold through conducting our research.

Or

Review of related literature -- we had a little difficulty gathering related studies as we were skeptical if
those pieces were reliable enough to either attest or refute our findings.

Q19: What is the implication of your work in your area? What does it change?

(Area - course?) Yes. Or field of Accounting

We conducted a study that is interrelated with our area of discipline. As we were curious if what was the
reason behind the declining percentage of students choosing the accountancy program. Through
reading related literatures (as we are not yet done doing our own data gathering) we are now convinced
that there are mountain of reasons not to choose this profession but our determination became bigger
than those impressions. And, that was has been changed.
