Platform Improvements

Licensing
• Improvements have been made to allow support of USB dongles under Windows
10 (build 1803).

Map
• This month a major improvement to the map has been included, supporting
multiple independent panels in the single map window, for 64-bit installations.

o Multi-panel mode can be enabled during a map session, giving the

user the option to create a 2-panel view (landscape or portrait) or a 4-
panel view (grid).

o This allows engineers to view multiple floors of the same building

concurrently, or multiple measurements per carrier simultaneously in a
Carrier Aggregation scenario.

© 2019 – Proprietary Information of Actix Ltd, an Amdocs company Page 13 of 18

o Users can switch between portrait and landscape views, and also from any
2-panel view to the 4-panel view.
o It is not possible to reduce the number of visible panels, so users cannot
switch from the 4-panel view to a 2-panel view. It is only possible to exit
the multi-panel mode from 4-panel view.
o Panels can be synchronized to keep to the same zoom/pan or can be
controlled independently.

o When in a multi-panel view, an icon in the top right corner denotes the
“master” panel to which all other panels will adjust themselves to, once
multi-panel sync is enabled.

o Attributes can be dragged/dropped onto panels independently, or added to

all panels at once (eg: in the case of a call event)

o Some map toolbar settings are not sensible when considering a multi-panel
use-case, so have been disabled. Most functions are still available from
the right-click menu of an individual panel, and contextual to that panel.

© 2019 – Proprietary Information of Actix Ltd, an Amdocs company Page 14 of 18

o This is a transient view, meaning that once the map window is closed, the
multi-panel view is also discarded.
o As the feature is intended to be a transient analysis tool, saving the
workspace or a screen layout in a multi-panel map mode has no effect;
only a single panel map will be re-opened.

• Fixed a problem where disabling BING map background layer made no change to
the drawing of BING tiles.

• Improvements have been made to range-based filtering, to allow users to select

all ranges or deselect all ranges, which will be especially useful in attributes with a
large number of ranges:

• Improvements have been made to the export of cell layer icons to KML format,
representing the azimuth and beamwidth, as can be seen in the Google Earth
imported KML overlay shown below:

© 2019 – Proprietary Information of Actix Ltd, an Amdocs company Page 15 of 18

Reporting
• Resolved a problem where exporting multiple attributes to a workbook template at
the same time would result in only the first attribute being exported.

© 2019 – Proprietary Information of Actix Ltd, an Amdocs company Page 16 of 18

Documentation Changes
• Added new documentation to online help for multi-panel map support

• Added WirelessMetrix LinkMaster / Spire Netimizer DML to the File Format
