The Human Brain: It is a Miracle

There is a whole lot to be acquired from learning the ropes. As such, beginning from the

bottom will eventually escalate you to a better spotlight if you are consistent and determined

enough— this is what I have collected from learning about the life story of Dr. Ben Carson. The

movie entitled “Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story” has brought about a great change in the

perspective of wide learners, and I can attest to that. Actually, as narrated in the movie, I have

been mesmerized by the fact that his academic performance beforehand was not that of high

standards as compared to where he is at the moment. Thus, it nurtures my perception on what he

stated that, “the brain is a miracle.” Truly, the human brain is a wonderful creation since it

pervades a way for grasping pristine facts that we can certainly comprehend on and apply to our

daily living. Hence, from the movie, I can infer that initiative took part in Ben’s learning process.

He was persistent enough to read books as he can seize new learnings from it. As he stated, “if

you can read, you can learn just about anything you want to know. The doors of the world are

open to people who can read.”

Ultimately, Dr. Ben Carson is such an inspiration for me as a future health professional.

By watching his life sprout from beneath to the peak, I have obtained ample values from him.

Firstly, I recognized that persistence and determination would take you to a better place if you

are consistent enough to do so. I have also realized that learning is a life-long process that

requires willingness and commitment with whatever you do. Moreover, the people around you

can become instruments that are able to take you elsewhere that is unfathomable. Also, as a

believer, the help of reaching out to the Beholder can pacify you and give you the courage to do

things. And lastly, when unprecedented situations occur, your eagerness to fill the gap between
the spaces can lead you to a better place. Overall, the values that are taught from the movie is

worth learning.
