MODAL VERBS

Modal verbs, for example must, add a plus meaning to the


sentence.

Compare: I run to work every morning (because I like running and I


lead a healthy lifestyle).
I must run to work every morning (because I always leave
home late).

Fill in the gaps with the following modal verbs:

must, mustn’t, have to, don’t have to, can, can’t, should, shouldn’t
