Design Report

The document provides design criteria and load calculations for a structure designed using ETABS, SAFE, and PROKON. It includes design criteria like material strengths, soil bearing capacity, and code used. Load calculations are presented for slabs, beams, and footings. RCC design of slabs, beams, columns, and footings was done using ETABS, SAFE, and PROKON respectively in accordance with ACI 318-11.

DESIGN REPORT

1. DESIGN CRITERIA

• THE STRUCTURE IS ANALYSED AND DESIGNED BY

USING ETABS , SAFE, PROKON.

• CODE BOOK USED FOR :-

a) CONCRETE = ACI 318-11

• CHARACTERISTIC STRENGTH OF CONCRETE

Fcu= 35N/MM²
• CHARACTERISTIC STRENGTH OF STEEL
fy = 460 N/MM² for flexural and
Fy420 for Shear reinforcement.
• SAFE BEARING CAPACTY OF SOIL ARE TAKEN AS PER
THE SOIL REPORT .
2. LOAD BREAK DOWN CALCULATION FOR SLABS

GROUNDFLOOR SLAB:

Floor Finish loads 12cm thk = 2.5 kn/m2

False ceing loads = 0.5 kn/m2

Total load on slab = SDL = 3 kn/m2 ,

Live Load = 3 kn/m2

3. LOADS ON BEAMS

• Wall loads on ground floor slab beams & tie beams as follow:
Density of Hollow blocks = 14 kn/m3
Width of walls = 0.25 m ,
(Maximum height to be taken ) Height of the wall = 3.5 m
Loads from blocks = 12.5 kn/m
Density of plaster = 20 kn/m3
Width of plaster = 2* 0.025 = 0.05m , Height of the wall = 3.5 m
Loads from plaster = 3.5 kn/m

Loads from wall on beams = 16kn/m

• Parapet loads on First floor slab beams as follow:
Density of Concrete = 25 kn/m3
Width of walls = 0.2 m , Height of the wall = 0.5m
Loads from Concrete = 2.5kn/m
Density of plaster = 20 kn/m3
Width of plaster = 2* 0.02 = 0.04m , Height of the wall = 0.5m
Loads from plaster = 0.4 kn/m

Loads from parapet wall = 3 kn/m

4. Programs used for different types of members.

• ETABS
• RCC 3D modal.
• RCC Beams design.
• RCC Column design.
