CENGR 3210– QUANTITY SURVEYING

ESTIMATES
EARTHWORKS, CONCRETE, MASONRY

From the foundation plan of a 5m x 4m storage house, column
and column footing detail, and wall footing detail shown,
determine the following:
a. Volume of excavation, backfill, and earthfilling materials.
b. Determine the quantity of cement, gravel and sand for
concrete.
c. Determine the quantity of CHB, cement, and sand for masonry
wall.
The height of wall and column from FFL is 2.7m and 3 m
respectively ( roof beam size is 200mm x 300 mm ). Use class A
concrete mix for columns, beams and footings., class B for wall
footing, and class C for slab.
