1. What is the difference between Muscular Strength and Muscular Endurance?
Explain your answer.
Muscular Strength is the ability of the muscles to push, pull or strike with the
total force. While the Muscular Endurance is the ability of the muscles to repeat
a movement many times or the ability of the muscles to stay or hold a position
for an extended period of time without stopping to rest and without getting
exhausted.
2. Why is doing physical activities important?
Physical activities are activities that include body movements that require
energy. Doing physical activities is very important because it will improve our
health and can reduce the risk of getting diseases. Regular physical activity can
improve our quality of life. Physical activities are important because it can
reduce the risk of heart attack, can reduce blood cholesterol level, etc. It
promotes good health for everyone.
3. What will happen to you if you are not doing regular physical activity?
Elaborate your answer.
Not doing a regular physical activity can lead to heart diseases. We can have a
greater possibility of developing high blood pressure. There are three harmful
diseases people can acquire if they won’t do regular physical activities. These
are the heart diseases, Type 2 diabetes, and cancer. Also, if we will not be doing
regular physical activities, we will feel weakening of our body, headaches and
we will feel lazy in doing our everyday jobs.

1. What is the difference between signs and symptoms? Explain your answer.
A symptom and a sign are both a medical term with different meanings. A
symptom is a phenomenon that is experienced by the individual affected by the
disease. On the other hand, a sign is a phenomenon that can be detected by
someone other than the individual affected by the disease. For example, Fatigue
is a symptom while muscle weakness is a sign of fatigue that can be tested in
the doctor's office.

2. How can the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in Philippines be


addressed?
Morbidity refers to a person being unhealthy. While the mortality refers to a
person being dead. Causes of mortality in the Philippines are the following:
Heart diseases, respiratory tuberculosis, chronic lower respiratory infections,
Diabetes mellitus, pneumonia, etc. The solutions to these causes should focus
on proper and regular exercise and intake of healthy food every day. The
leading causes of morbidity are the following: Acute respiratory infection, acute
lower respiratory infection, Hypertension, fever, UTI, Diarrhea, Influenza,
Tuberculosis, Bronchopneumonia, and Arthritis. The solutions to these causes
should focus on the proper personal hygiene for everyone.
3. How can you control and prevent common communicable diseases?
Common communicable diseases are diseases that are transmittable to another
person. We can prevent and control common communicable diseases by being
aware of our personal hygiene, safely handling and preparing food, washing our
hands often, clean and disinfect commonly used surfaces, we should not share
our personal things such as combs, toothbrush, etc. and when we are sick, we
should stay at home.
