Delivery Completed" Indicator in Goods Receipt

The delivery completed indicator on the goods receipt screen is automatically handled by the system based on settings in customizing. While the checkbox cannot be manually enabled, posting a partial delivery with the indicator set means future goods receipts for the item will be unselected by default but can still be posted if selected. There is no standard message to restrict further deliveries when the indicator is set for a partial delivery.

Delivery Completed" Indicator in Goods Receipt

While doing GR, we want to check the "Delivery Completed" on the Goods Receipt Screen if we are
expecting no future receipt against the Purchase Order.

Currently we are not able to check the Delivery Completed Indicator as it is not in editable mode.

Is there any issue if we enable the Check Box on Goods Receipt Screen. If no, how can we enable
the Check Box.

This is handled by the system automatically. you can change only in purchase order.

Refer SAP note 1093582 for more info

About delivery completed indicator functionality

The purchase order item is considered closed, even though the total

quantity may not have been delivered.

o Although a further delivery is not expected, it is still possible.

o At the time of the next goods receipt, the system suggests the item

as unselected.

o The purchase order item can be deleted, even if the total quantity

was not delivered.

Although the "delivery completed" indicator is not set, a purchase order

item is still considered closed if the full quantity has been delivered. In

this case, the "delivery completed indicator" is not required.

In Customizing for Inventory Management/Goods Receipt/Set Delivery

Completed Indicator, you can define at plant level that the "delivery

completed indicator" is set automatically in the order if:

o the total quantity was delivered

o the underdelivery or overdelivery lies within the tolerances

is there any standard message in the system so that i can restrict the furthure delivery of article/
material ( in goods receipt MB01) , when i am doing the partial delivery and marking as delivery
completed indicator in MB01 with respect to PO

If you post a goods receipt for a partial delivery of a purchase order and set the delivery completed
indicator, then, in the next goods receipt for the remaining quantity, the item will still be proposed
and there will be no error messages, but you will see that the item is not selected by default for
posting. You will need to select it in MB01 on purpose to be able to post the goods receipt.

I know that this is not what you expect, but, at least, it differentiates between situations in which the
delivery completed is still not set (the item is selected for posting) and in which the delivery
completed is set (the item is not selected for posting).

One last thing: the system will not stop you from posting further goods receipts for the remaining
quantities when the delivery completed indicator is set. The delivery completed indicator specifies
whether a purchase order item is considered closed.

This means that no more goods receipts are EXPECTED for this item.

If the delivery completed indicator is set, the open purchase order quantity becomes zero, even if the
full quantity has not been delivered. It is still possible to post goods receipts of remaining quantities,
but these no longer change the open purchase order quantity.
