Block Diagram of a Mobile phone Hardware
The block diagram that you see here shows the process on how the hardware works that
makes the commands in which the software is integrated with. The first step is to input the
command or code which will be the microphone. This is where the user talks into the mic where
it would be recognized by the mobile phone. It would then go to the hardware of the phone
where it would have to pass the 3 main components in this step, the internal storage, the CPU,
and the application software. The software would then pick up the signal which was transmitted
through the CPU. It would then be decoded by the mobile phone, which in this case would go
through the internal storage to pick up data coming from the code then would transfer back to
CPU and comes to the output. The output would be the speakers where it would recite what was
coded or commanded right to it. The steps would then be repeated to be used for commands once
again.
Text-to-speech (TTS) is a type of assistive technology where digital text are read aloud
(Understood, 2020). It converts words on a computer into audio. Speech-to-text is a program
where it uses linguistic algorithms to classify audio signals and reconstruct the information into
words using Unicode characters (Take Note, 2020). According to Understood (2020), text-to-
speech works nearly on every digital device, most of these devices are computers, smartphones,
and tablets. It is also the same for Speech-to-text as it a software that runs similarly with text-to-
speech with similar hardware.

Massive amounts of speech data combined with faster processing supported speech recognition
to become advance overtime along with computing power and artificial intelligence (Sonix, n.d.).
it was also stated here that it is possible the next dominant interface will become the voice and
artificial intelligence with its advancements are increasing amounts of speech data that can be
easily mined. The technology in supporting voice applications is also low-cost and powerful.
With the founding technology and its technological advancements, the future holds bright for the
software that runs speech recognition.
