materials and - The teacher needs to have bingo cards already made up on the tablets for the children. This way the
environment children can write with their finger on the tablets to play bingo.
What materials will be used?
- Day 1/2: white boards
- Day3/4: tablets
Instructional Procedures:
Day 1:
We will start off the class with a little assignment to see how well the class knows their numbers. They will be listening
for numbers and have to write the number down that they hear. After this assignment is done, we will go over the
correct answers, and have the students correct their answers. This will take about 15-20 minutes. Then for the
remainder of the class the teacher will play a video of a person reading off numbers 1-20 and the students will again
have to write down the number they hear.
Day 2:
We will take the first 10 minutes of class and go over the material we covered the day before. Then we start by
connecting the sound of the number with how to spell the number. So, we will start off by practicing how to spell 1-20.
This will take about 30 minutes. Then we will spend the remainder of the class seeing what the kids know from the past
two days.
Day 3:
We will spend about 10 minutes doing a refresher of what we have learned over the past two days. Then we will get the
tablets and start playing bingo. On the bingo cards the numbers will be both written out in number form or numerical
form. We will start with a practice round, and then play the rest of class. We will play as many games as possible.
Day 4:
We will do another little assignment to see how much they know how to recognize the sound of the numbers with the
spelling and how to write it. Once we are done with that, we will play Bingo again for the rest of the class.

- Here the children can do different activities at home to help them with numbers they are struggling with, and
overall practice.
Differentiated Instructional Support: Describe how instruction can be differentiated (changed or altered) to meet the
needs of gifted or accelerated students:
- Children with special needs will be able to have assistance with how to write and spell the numbers. They may
use the teacher or have a piece of paper with the numbers and spelling of the numbers on it. This way they still
have to connect the sound of the number to the sight of the spelling and numerical form.
Discuss additional activities you could do to meet the needs of students who might be struggling with the material:
- I can give them worksheets to take home, that I will go over with them one on one to give them additional
assistance.
Vocabulary:
- Addition
- Subtraction
- Counting numbers 1-20
