1 INTRODUCTION
This procedure covers the FAT test requirements of Undertun for acceptance of the 12m Door gangway.
It is intended that this document be used for recording the results of testing.

2 SETUP AND PREPARATORY WORK


Preparatory works

ITEM DESCRIPTION SIGNOFF


Mount gangway on pedestal/test jig
Check hydraulic oil level
Ensure all hose connections are tight.

Ensure all electrical connections are made up.


Apply power. Check that motor runs in correct direction
Check that pressure relief valve on hydraulic HPU is set to
190 bar after pressure test.
Confirm these pressures.

Confirm setting of pressure relief valves is correct to


prevent damage. V10,11,12,13,14,15. Ensure that desired
setting is documented.

Shock valve gangway down (V11): 32 bar


Shock valve gangway up (V10): 140 bar
Shock valve telescope out (V14): 80 bar
Shock valve telescope in (V15): 125 bar
Shock valve swing right/left (V12 & V13): 180 bar
These should be set after pressure test.
Confirm these pressures.

Confirm hydraulic system has been pressure tested to min


1.5 x operating pressure (190 x 1.5=285 bar).
Confirm these pressures.

Equipment Required

Gangway must be able to slew at least 83 degrees in test


location.

Design approval (type approval) certificate (all pages
required) Confirm scope of DnV inspection and test to meet
type approval
Check that DnV ISO 7061 certificate is issued, or perform
bending tests to qualify for this certificate
Component signoff against drawings to confirm supplied
components match drawings

Operating manual to be available so that any changes


/errors/omissions can be noted.

setup, operating and maintenance
