Direction: Write 200 word essay on the topic “MARKET INTEGRATION. The Asian Perspective.”

Market Integration in Asia have caused unions of the firms in different countries. Fortunately, over the
years we witnessed a linkage between the firms in Asia resulting to a relationship called market integration.
One example is the establishment of ASEAN. Where Asian countries under this union is giving hand on each
other, as a result, there is an expansion of firms by consolidating additional marketing functions and activities,
providing job opportunities, more business capital and foreign relations and trades.

The markets in Asia's emerging economies have accelerated in recent years, these markets remain
more integrated with region’s financial markets than with other financial markets within the region. Further,
integration of the region's domestic local-currency bond markets with their regional and global counterparts
lags the pace of integration of its equity markets. The ongoing regional capital market integration initiatives
should take under consideration the chance of contagion that regional financial integration presents, and
introduce measures for mitigating such risk as a way of ensuring financial stability within the region.

Removing obstacles is a huge step that the countries in Asia are building and taking up. Borderless and
integrated market causes unity and development of the firms by so called market integration.
