V. RATIONALE

Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) is a program of Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002 which
is designed as a preventive education and information platform to counteract the ill effects of
illegal addictive drugs to the young ones. It aims to enable an individual to be the agent
within his peer groups in advocating healthy and drug-free lifestyle thru involvement in
various wholesome activities. With this, the BKD Program of Ozamiz City national High
School establishes Media Kontra Droga as a support group which will serve as an avenue to
divert students’ interest in illegal drug addiction.

VI. OBJECTIVES

This activity aims to:

A. Heighten awareness among the young about the negative effects of illegal drugs
through the use of social media sites
B. Promote responsible social media etiquette among millennial

VII. DESCRIPTION

Media Kontra Droga is one of the support groups under BKD, the flagship program of
the National Drug Education Program (NDEP). It aims to develop the young to become
agents against drug addiction through the responsible use of social media.

b. Deployment of videos to the official BKD Facebook Page
c. Judging of video
d. Announcing of Winners
IX. STRATEGY AND METHODOLOGY

Vlog Kontra Droga


Mechanics:
1. The contest is open to all bonifide students of Ozamiz City National High School.
2. Each curriculum must have one entry.
3. The video duration must be 3 minutes minimun and 5 minutes maximum
4. The video must be in mp4 or mpeg format.
5. Each curriculum must produce a vlog that captures the Vision-Mission of BKD.
6. The entries must feature the BKD Sub group called 3K and SMILE.
7. The videos will be posted on BKD Facebook page for likes and sharing.
8. The most like and share video will receive the People’s Choice Awards.
9. The entries must be comprised of appropriate content and must not:
8.1 promote illegal behavior
8.2 use foul language
8.3 support prejudice or discrimination on any grounds
9. Any entry deemed to violate the above mentioned mechanics will be
disqualified.

Creativity - 40%
Content - 30%
Editing - 30%
Communication - 10%
100%

X. BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS

Since the activities are done on social media sites, budgetary requirement is no longer
needed.

XI. SOURCES OF FUNDS

The expenses for these activities will be taken from the solicitation of NDEP and BKD
Coordinators, subject to usual accounting and auditing.

XII. MONITORING AND EVALUATING

These activities will be monitored by the MKD Advisers Claire P. Padilla and Ria
Blandine Pongase Szmajewski, BKD coordinators Danily D. Homecillo, Jhimson A.
Monreal, Jane C. Manili, Division NDEP Coordinator, Dr. Alice Fe C. Paderanga, and Chef
of the SGOD, Susan Epifania B. Carpio.
