Interactions to choose from:

1. ​Picture​:​ Draw a picture(s) of something/someone in the assigned reading topic. Include a


caption that describes your selected picture(s)/illustration.

2. ​Question​:​ Write a question that can be answered in the assigned reading topic. Include the
actual answer(s) to your question.

3. ​What If/I Predict Statement​:​ Make a prediction or guess based on the assigned reading
topic. Your statement should begin with "What if..." or "I predict..." Follow your statement with a
supporting sentence based on facts in the reading.

4. ​Poetry​:​ Write a short poem about the assigned reading topic.

5. ​Opinion Statement​:​ Write at least two sentences stating your opinion about the assigned
reading topic.

6. ​Summarize​:​ Write a 2-3 sentence summary on the assigned reading topic.

7. ​Connection​:​ Write at least two sentences that connects the assigned reading topic to another
historical event we've learned in class or to a personal experience in your life. Remember they have to
be relatable.

8. ​Graphic Organizer​:​ Use a Venn Diagram or T Chart or other graphic organizer to


compare/contrast information in the assigned reading topic.

9. ​Learning Log​:​ Write a sentence for at least 3 new things you learned in the assigned reading
topic. Remember to tell me what you learned, not just what the new facts are.

10. ​Quote​:​ Copy a quote from the assigned reading topic. Explain in at least 2 sentences what the
quote means; analyze the quote.
