Nursing Family Problem: Malnutrition as health deficit

1. Inability to recognize presence of malnutrition in dependent member due to lack of


knowledge and stress at work
2. Inability to decide about taking appropriate health action due to failure to
comprehend the nature, cope, magnitude and scope of the problem.
3. Inability to provide nursing care to member suffering from malnutrition and stress
due to
A. Lack of of knowledge about health condition
B. Lack of knowledge on the nature and extent of nursing care needed

OBJECTIVE: After an hour of patient education, the family will be able realize and
change unhealthy lifestyle.
CRITERIA: The family will be able to:
1. Verbalize understanding of need for lifestyle changes to maintain/control weight.
2. Establish individual goal and plan for attaining that goal.
3. Begin to look for information about nutrition. (Vera,2020).

OUTCOMES EVALUATION: The family able realized and changed unhealthy


lifestyle.
MET CRITERIA (evidenced by)
1. The family member made goals and plan to achieve healthy lifestyle.
2. The family visited websites given, read magazine about healthy lifestyle.
3. The family verbalized and understand importance of controlling weight.

OBJECTIVE :After 2 day nursing and family interaction and education, the family will
be able to know and select the appropriate meal plan needed.
CRITERIA: The family will be able to:
1. Explain the importance of family meal plan.
2. Establish rapport within the family.
3. Enumerate possible causes of acquiring the disease.
4. Encourage the family members to change their unhealthy lifestyle.
5. Enumerate some prevention to hinder the occurrence of disease process. (Perez,
2020).

OUTCOMES EVALUATION: The family able to know and select the appropriate
meal plan needed.

MET CRITERIA (evidenced by)


1. The family explained the importance of meal plan for achieving healthy lifestyle
and enumerated its prevention control and possible diseases they may acquire for
unhealthy lifestyle.
2. The family began to encouraged everyone and discussed appropriate meal plan.
3. The family chose and uses the Pinggang Pinoy.
