DAY OF JUDGEMENT\ LIFE AFTER DEATH
The fundamental beliefs which serve as a foundation of a religion are
known as its articles of faith…… “I believe in Allah, in His Angels m in His Books, in His Messengers, in the last day and in the fact that everything good or bad is decided by Allah the Almighty and in Life after death” Belief in life after death and the last day is a fundamental article of faith, Muslims have a firm belief that after dying they will be raised and be held accountable of their deeds, then they will live an external life in either heaven or hell. Those who don’t believe in life after death becomes irresponsible because to them the short life on earth becomes everything, the Quran says: “anyone who denies… The day of judgment has gone far, far astray” Quran lays great importance on belief of the day of judgement and call AL-AKHIRA. occasionally it is mentioned next to belief in Allah “anyone who believes in Allah and last Day and works righteousness shall have their reward from their Lord” When a man dies,he goes in a state of Barzak hand after he is buried in a grave, Qiyamet-e-Sugrah takes place in his state of Barzakh. Angels Munkir and Nakir ask the dead three question whose answers depict their life in grave. The Holy Prophet pbuh said: “when a man dies, his abode is brought before him in morning and evening, in Paradise if he is an inmate of Paradise and in fire if he is an inmate of Hell” At a time, only known to Allah, this world will come to an end after angel israfeel blows the trumpet “then when one blast is sounded on the trumpet” Everything will be in chaos. mothers will forget their child, every man will alone, no one will recognize its relation “…on that Day men will flee from his brother, his mother and his father” On the day of judgment; the earth will split ruining its infrastructure, mountains will be like wool floating in the sky, the stars will lose its light as the moon will disappear in darkness and the sun will folded up. The sea would be boiling and every living creature will die as a new earth and heaven is created. A second trumpet will be blown and everyone living being will rise from dead “and there will come from every soul. With each an angel to drive and an angel to bear witness” Everyone will gather at the plain of Arafat and their judgment will begin. Books of deeds will be brought to them and no injustice will take place, not even a deed weighting like mustard seed will be left out. As- Serat will be laid across hell and only the righteous will e able to cross it. “then he whose scales are heavy shall be in a state of bliss and he whose scales are light shall deep pit for his dwelling” IMPORTANCE The two states of paradise and hell are spiritual. This is why great emphasis is laid on preparing for the last day, belief in last days teaches Men: the fear of Allah and His power. if faith in it is adopted, no one will do right things, it makes a Muslim steadfast for he knows he is only accountable to Allah
